Write a ReviewThanks for the review.
First off, the written quote that I received was not entirely the scope of work I said on the phone. In hindsight, I should have reviewed and corrected the written quote to ensure the scope of work was what was discussed, I did not expect them to lie about the services they could perform. On the phone I told them, repair electric to foyer lights and two outlets outside, and to install an outlet for the garage door opener. I also said that the lights in the basement need looked at because there is a wiring issue and I suspected that since my husband installed a breaker and the lights were on it the foyer issue, and the outdoor outlets and the electric in the basement could be a breaker issue. The basement issue turned out to be the GFCI needed reset, and he stapled the electrical wire to light to the basement ceiling. We then went on to discuss the rest of the project, The foyer light and the outdoor outlets he thought were a breaker issue and at that point (2 hours into the 4-6 hour quote) he said he is prohibited from doing anything with breakers, he cannot touch breakers. He spent the next two hours saying, lets try this or let us try that only for it to be that there was a wire from the foyer switch to the breaker that was blown, and he exclaims, yea, I am not allowed to touch that one. Perhaps you should have called our sister company Mr. Electric. The company also removed their offer to do business from HomeAdvisor. (I do still have the email) All in all, they say they can do the job on the phone, give you different services than what was discussed in the written quote and then do nothing. I get they did **fix** the lights in the basement. (they popped the GFCI) but why give a quote on the electrical outlets if the possibility that the fix would require breaker work that they could not perform? They should have said that upfront. 4 hours in 469.00 later and all they did is use a staple and pushed a button on the GFCI.
They are clear, thorough, and reliable. It was an excellent customer service experience.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. They charge way too much money for work not completed. They did not show up on time. They are an inferior company at best. I have all of the photos of poor quality of work. I would share them with anyone. Hire this company at your own risk. Too many promises made but not delivered. Had to get someone else to finish the uncompleted work. Don't make the same mistake I made by hiring this company.
They could not figure out why a switch did not work. I guess you get what you pay for. The tech was very courteous but I was out money for a job not completed. I will hire a pro next time.
Our handyman was nice. He mentioned that he was a carpenter by trade be all their handyman are trained in general handyman work. We had a plumbing issue. I believed it could have been done quicker by someone who had plumbing expertise. Also we never got a parts purchased invoice, only a parts charge. I would have liked to see a receipted
fast work well done
Mr. Cox did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and making sure that I understood why the switches shorted out. No money upfront, only when the job is completed. I will recommend him to anyone who needs good service.
The cost of installing one chandelier in bedroom and very little spot painting cost $ 380!! We are senior citizens and have very little to pay this much for only one hour work
Hi Terri, Can you please give us a call so we can get the "quality" issue fixed for you. I know we have left a message with you to try and get something scheduled. I looked at the invoice. It looks like the tech was on site for three hours as well.
