I have numerous trees around my house and I knew the gutters really needed cleaning. But I didn't want to just get them cleaned. I wanted to deal with the tree issue and not have to worry about the gutters in the future. Step in Leaf Filter, with a lifetime warranty. The whole process was smooth. And now that the rains have started, my gutters will be tested.

The product has met my expectations, at 70 I am glad to not have to be on a ladder cleaning the gutters.

Don't be taken advantage of with this overpriced and sale-pitch riddled. Contacted by this company after submitting home HomeAdvisor for gutter cleaning. LeafFilter then told me they only clean the gutters if the product is installed. I decided to let them come out since the house is two-story and it save me from purchasing an extension ladder. As well as the hassle of cleaning each year. Salesman's sales pitch would make you think you were buying a time share. flipping through 3-ring binder, writing up estimated and then slowly disclosing each itemized line one at a time, building up to the big reveal. Approximately 147 linear feet, priced at $5491.00 minus the {cough} 15% Fall Discount {Cough}, and then the ;Do It Now and let them pick the install date - another $600 off, final total $4,667. Looked the system online. LeafFilter works in a lot of applications, though NOT every application. Additionally, the salespeople have been known to pitch the initial price at nearly $90 per linear foot, while it has been estimate that LeafFilter cost is about $6 per linear foot. Companies do need to make money, therefore $20 per linear foot would be an acceptable range. I haggled with the salesman and got him down to $3,400, explaining the above information as why I was talking him down. I was shooting for $3,000; which would work out to $20 per linear foot. He wouldn't budge from $3,400, saying that that was already a best price and gracious on their part. He also said I needed to act before Nov 1st, as the fall discount would expire, etc etc. I went silent, not replying and thought I'd let him sweat it out. The day before he followed up asking if I decided what I wanted to do. I still did not answer, I wanted to wait to see what happened. Sure enough, Oct 31st, the day before the discount would expire, I received a text from some else in the company saying that they had some LeafFilter material from a very large commercial job that they did, brand new and unopened. They'd be able to do my work and offer all the same warranties - but at COST. said it was a very limited time offer. I thought I'd bit and replied that I'm interested. They replied - $2057.00 That's $13.99 per linear foot. I did accept this offer and told them to start right away. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the fact that I got it at $9 per linear foot cheaper than what the salesman was offering, and $7/linear cheaper than what I was shooting for -- -- However, this was almost $3,500 cheaper than the initial price. How many people get quote and don't know any better? I understand companies need to make money, but then there i just ripping off people that don't know any better - which is wrong. If I would have gotten a reason price to start, without the sale pitch and without the shady "we have materials that were already paid for by someone else, that we're now going to resell a second time to you" Technically if I was getting the gutters at COST - I should have gotten them for free. since their cost was ZERO, since they've already been paid for by the previous company that you had surplus remaining. Anyway, as I was saying, if it weren't for the sales pitch, the shady dealing and quoting me a decent price to start, I would have given 4 or 5 start rating. But i can't do that. Time will tell if the system works as stated. And I've inspected the installation, the i don't believe the micromesh joints/seams were done as advertised - they were supposed to overlap vs being tucked . Tldr; haggle to the cost of $20 per linear foot -Henry

Still too early to tell how well the system works.
