Reviews
Write a ReviewProject: small, ground-level deck and shed torn down and rebuilt exactly to same specs in Reston; no footers or concrete. Timing: Archadeck estimated a couple of days to a week to finish my project, but it took 6 months (Dec 2021-May 2022). They collected final payment in Jan and still did no finish until the last day of May. Reason: Some of this was due to supply chain issues, but a lot was due to communications and cash-flow issue on their part. Eventually, the worker dude finished it as a favor. I would hire him to work again, but not the company if that makes sense. I do not think it was his fault in the slightest. Afterwards: Was also told that Archadeck owner would stop by the site after a week or two to survey/thank, and provide sealant, but he never did. Feelings: I just do not get what was so hard about this. Work seems fine, deck seems ok... but communication was incredibly difficult. Would not honestly recommend it. In case it is helpful: 13K for ground-level deck and shed. Deck is composite. Shed was T1-11 (the typical Reston stuff).
Hi, Rose? I want to personally apologize for the negative experience you had with us. The last 2 years with COVID and its ramifications have been incredibly challenging as we, like many, have dealt with supply chain issues, government-mandated closures and process changes, and crew illnesses. As such, our timelines were thrown into chaos, and just about every project on our production schedule suffered because of it. That said, there is no excuse for not communicating with you better throughout these challenges and making sure you were as up-to-date as possible, even when we did not have good news or a solid plan to provide to you. Additionally, I am sorry for not fulfilling my obligation to stop by to meet with you to close out the project the way I intend for all our projects. Again, there are no excuses for this, and everyone on our team, myself included, will strive to do better with our communication and keeping to our processes here in 2023 and beyond. Thank you for providing your comments and review so that we know areas for improvement. Regards, Todd
Try to spend more time communicating and ensuring expectations.
They do very high quality work. We had some supply chain and labor availability issues, but we worked thru them. My wife and I are very pleased with the end product, a three season sunroom. Converted our screened in porch to sunroom.
