How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because it offered me the opportunity to learn a trade at a young age. After 20 years of flooring installation experience working for others and himself, our owner expanded into sales and service in 2010 with the introduction of Carolina In Home Flooring to the greater Raleigh area. A full-service company focused primarily on residential flooring, Carolina In Home Flooring has a business model that promotes the convenience of an up-scale mobile showroom sales experience where flooring samples are brought to our customers homes to coordinate with their existing furniture and colors. Representing the largest and smaller flooring manufacturers, our experienced sales consultants help customize the selections of our customers based on their home design and lifestyles. .

I added a 14' x 37' room in my attic. Carolina In Home Flooring installed vinyl flooring. The proceed was painless. From salesman to cleanup! They had patience with us as we picked out the flooring. We were not sure of our color, so they showed us more samples..... We went with one of the first ones they showed us. Install went as planned. Would use these guys again!

We purchased our home in 2017 and hardwoods installed in every room downstairs except two bedrooms. We searched high and low and found a perfect match with our current hardwoods at Carolina In Home Flooring. The installers came this week and got both rooms and closets done in one day!!! The crew was courteous, polite, hard workers, and did an amazing job with our hardwoods. When they finished, I was asked to direct them about the layout of the furniture in both rooms. (very professional). We highly recommend Carolina In Home Flooring.

Love my new floors! Carolina In Home Flooring replaced all the old, outdated carpet in my office condo with new carpet and LVP. See the before and after pictures, what a difference! From the very first meeting with Herman all the way to the install date, every step of the project was on time and very well communicated both through emails and phone calls with sales, office staff, scheduling and the installation team. Herman was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable (and patient) by helping me choose the flooring that would work in my space (so many choices!) The install team showed up on time and did a great job. I would definitely recommend Carolina In Home Flooring. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed!

I just completed my flooring project with Carolina In Home Flooring. I was very apprehensive about the whole process. Putting flooring down can be very stressful. Not with this company! From my first call with Amanda, to meeting David, talking with Herman for the installation process, right down to the installation crew, who by the way, was top notch, I was extremely impressed. What I thought was going to be a daunting process, was definitely not! I would recommend this company to all my friends, family and co-workers. Thanks to all in the company. I love my new floors!!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
