Reviews
Write a ReviewEasy to work with and very personable.
I did not realize until I started to build my shed that the pad they poured was not square. The shed barely fit on back side. It works so it's ok but shows some carelessness. If I was on the spot to see what was happening all was ok.
Very polite and easy to work with
We had Custom Colors do a new roof. We also had a new covered patio done in our back yard. The work was first rate.
Scott and his crew did amazing work on our house. We couldn't be happier with the results. They were all very friendly and they finished our house in a few short weeks. Amazing service will be using them for future projects!
Scott did a wonderful job for us! He was very involved with making sure we were happy and things were being done the right way. We did a main level remodel. Scott has an eye for color and making sure things will look cohesive. We had our walls, trim, and ceilings painted. He built an accent wall in our office and turned our three windows into a French door going out to the patio he did as well. We will have other projects done and he will always be our go to!
Throughout the month of June, 2021, I contacted a dozen highly-rated companies (per Google.com reviews) in Omaha requesting estimate to paint my mostly brick two-story home and matching detached garage. The work I need primarily included painting all the wood trim on my home and garage, including painting my 50+ wood windows (plus their metal storm windows), and having my 100-year-old windows reglazed as needed. Half of the companies I contacted either ghosted me (i.e., either never called me back, or after our initial phone conversation, never called me back) or said they couldn't paint homes that have lead paint (we had already verified that our home contained lead paint). Others weren't willing to take on tasks we needed such as reglazing our old windows. A couple that were willing to do the work we needed said that they couldn’t start the work until the following year and that they’d prefer to do it in phases over the next few years (e.g., the north side next year, the south side the following year, and on). Only one company agreed to do all that we needed this year: Custom Colors Painting and Remodeling. After all the negative experiences with the other companies I had contacted, I have to admit that I had huge doubts with all the promises made by Scott, owner of Custom Colors, but to my great relief, by the end of their work on my home, they had kept every promise and have even gone beyond on a number of issues that arose during the project. Yeah, to say the least, I *highly* recommend them! First, Scott promised me that he could do all the work this year and that he could start within about two weeks of us signing a contract. We signed the contract and I held my breath, but his workers did indeed show up within two weeks, and the work began in earnest. While there were a few small irritations along the way (e.g., a few times, the workers left a sloppy workspace or left items behind at the end of a work day that my dogs discovered and promptly chewed up around our yard), it was mostly smooth sailing throughout the five weeks of work. Scott popped in unannounced mostly once or twice a day to consult with his workers. I occasionally flagged him down to let him know of an issue I had identified, or to inquire when I had a question about how something was to be done. I never knew from day-to-day which workers were going to arrive, or what they were going to work on, but someone was there most every day (except a couple rainy days) promptly at 7:00am to begin work. They took an hour for lunch around noon most days, and they ended their work day between 4:00-5:00pm most days. Because of the few rainy days, they also showed up on either Saturday or Sunday to continue their work. As for the work done on our home, the steps involved included first removing all storm windows; powerwashing our home and garage; chipping away the flaking lead paint (while catching it in tarps); sanding the exterior trim and wood windows; replacing rotted trim boards; taping up to protect the brick, gutters and roof before painting primer on all windows and trim; painting the actual paint we had selected which included three different colors; painting all of our storm windows (50+); replacing all ripped window screens; repairing and painting a wooden driveway gate; rebuilding a wooden planter on the front of our home; replacing several missing or broken window panes; recaulking all our windows and doors;. and, painting the four doors around our home. At the end of their work, they powerwashed the driveway, front porch and sidewalks surrounding our home and they cleaned up everything else quite nicely. All in all, we are very pleased with the results of their work and would highly recommend them to anyone. As Scott told me multiple times when I would inquire if they could fix this or address that, “We do everything!”, and he was right!
Custom Colors completed a remodeling project for us and were wonderful at keeping in my budget while providing quality craftsmanship through out. I had them paint the outside of our home and their work was flawless. I will definitely recommend them to any and everyone in the market for highly qualified home improvement professionals for their next home improvement project.
