Very please with the quality of work. Take project completion time-line estimates with a grain of salt, "stuff happens.

ECC is the best. When I met with Mike, I knew that he would be the one that I would hire to remodel our master bathroom and guest bathroom. On our first meeting he listened to my ideas and added some of his own. Together we formed the remodel plan. Along the way he made more suggestions that complemented what we had already decided. We took out the garden tub and existing shower in the master bath and made a walk in shower and dry off area. In the guest bath we took out a wall to open it up and made a new shower. We added granite countertops, new sinks and fixtures. He set up appointments with several granite, tile and fixture businesses and came along with me on several of them. Looking at my house decor he suggested the shower tile which looks awesome. He has quite an eye for design and what works. He gave us a cost breakdown and time line which were closely followed. His workmen were here promptly and left each day with everything cleaned up. Both Mike and the project supervisor keep us informed throughout and answered any questions that we had. We can't say more about Mike's professionalism and attention to detail and high recommend ECC. The end result was more that I expected!!

They did an excellent job remodeling our townhouse, raising the ceilings by moving the air conditioning ducts to the roof, removing a closet, enclosing 8 sq feet of space to make a new closet, installing tile and a new kitchen. There work was high-quality and the on-site supervisor was terrific.

Be aware that when you receive your bid price from these guys - it will be shockingly high, but they will tell you they are worth it because of the excellent quality and service they provide. Maybe they deliver most of the time, but they did not live up to the hype for us and our $49,000 master bathroom./bedroom renovation. 1. They promised a strict no smoking policy on our property - but the superintendent smoked in his vehicle - which maybe is not a big deal, but he left more than a dozen cigarette butts in various places on the property. 2. They say communication is excellent - but we still had subcontractors show up without notice (which when you have dogs is really fun), we had pretty much no idea what was going to happen on given days and the "superintendent" who does most of the labor would disappear for hours at a time. Even after to complaining to the project manager - nothing changed. They never provided a scope of work and were less than transparent in the process of sticking to budget (which they were unable to do). In the final accounting they tried to charge me twice for sales tax and still manged to charge twice for plumbing and more money for their incompetent goldbricking superintendent, 3. The said someone from ECC would be onsite at all times when subs were present - not even close to true. The electricians and tilers were often left unattended. 4. They said they would finish on time - and even said they would take a financial penalty if they didn't... I wish I held them to it because they finished 7 weeks late (was their fault). 5. Building it right the first time! That's what they say, but I had to oversee almost every detail of the project and found many things not done right the first time. Turns out they sent a new employee to do the job not knowing his credentials and provided little or no supervision of him. The painting of a room took this guy over a week to finish (which delayed everything else) and was low quality that they eventually had to hire pro painters to come and do it right. 6. They promised a clean worksite - but other than the cigarette butts - they left debris around for weeks (some of which I just ended up throwing away myself). They dripped paint on my patio, left empty boxes and tile samples, etc everywhere on the back patio. They charged $1100 for the daily clean they never did. Their worker even threw gum away on the property which my dogs promptly found and walked through - was nice to clean up traced in gum and have to take the dogs to the groomer. 7. We truly expected the project manager or an owner would be onsite several times a week - but for the most part they were never around. This left their new employee to basically work at an agonizingly slow pace - unchecked except by me. Even complaints to the owners early in the process changed nothing - in retrospect I should have just fired them much earlier on. In the end they finished the job. It is f

    Response from Company:

The circumstances surrounding this project are/were most unfortunate. We pride ourselves on transparency and at no time was the customer ever not aware before during and after the project of what their cost were. In addition the client was provided with a complete a thorough documentation of every aspect of the work prior to the start of the job and throughout the job . With regards to the other comments it would be our pleasure to speak with you directly and address them accordingly.

Fabulous company !! So much attention to detail. The project manager is available, professional, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile for his clients. The workers are NEAT and efficient. I was so pleased with the work in my bathroom, that I am having them redo my kitchen. I would highly recommend East Coast Contractors.
