Mitch Powers did a beautiful job on the design of our new 2nd floor, outdoor kitchen and misc. remodeling we want completed. We will need some new designs and will rehire to develop. Great company and loved working with Mitch.

Hire them. One of your largest and most important investments is in your home. We took on a remodel and decided to self contract. We had no idea the scope of work that was involved. NONE. We interviewed 3 architects and decided to place our trust in Mitch Powers at JBW. He was very in tune with what we were hoping to achieve and responsive to all of our questions. In the process, we have learned so much and are so thankful that we have such a skilled team on our side to help us navigate our dreams. They have defended our Architectural plans with engineering on several occasions to our subcontractors and our inspectors. Twice, our subs messed up and we had to 'fix' the problems.... the JBW team stepped right up and were with us every step of the way. We could not have came this far without them. BUYER BEWARE! When looking for an architect, stay away from JWB architects. We were referred to JWB to provide architectural drawings for an outdoor kitchen and patio project. Their workmanship was wrought with errors that are still being addressed and are costing us thousands of dollars to rectify. Response times, except for sending invoices and asking for payment, were slow requiring multiple calls and e-mails prior to receiving a response. Deadlines were regularly missed and when the product was provided, there were mistakes. There was absolutely NO creativity in designs provided in spite of us providing multiple examples of the look and feel we were trying to achieve. Finally, their fees were approximately double of what we subsequently have learned it the âgoing rateâ for similar projects. If there were negative numbers in the rating scale, that would be our rating.

Thank you, Richard, for your review as we look for every opportunity to improve our customer service and company standards. In regards to your comments, we provided you with a design concept and drawings you were fond of, however, your Homeowners Association would not approve the modern design you preferred. We spent several weeks, providing you and your HOA with various edited drawings to comply with both your needs and the rules of your HOA. We can understand your frustration with the project since you brought in a new builder, who could not fully understand how to complete the project even after designs were submitted and approved by you, by your HOA and by Orange County. Regardless of all the change requests, we continued to provide you with support and consideration beyond our contract to help the new builder bring this design to life without request for additional compensation. From the start of our participation in this project, communication remained constant between the original general contractor, our company and yourself. Again, while we can understand your frustration with the project and the many required revisions due to several road blocks along the way, we provided you with service above and beyond the scope of work complete with site visits and financial considerations. We do wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your new outdoor summer kitchen.
