Excellent timely response from Max, who previewed the job (lots of brick pointing), brought by two workmen and showed them all the spots, then came by on workday to check, review and correct where necessary their work. Extremely competent all around. Very professional. Kept appointment time. I can recommend MCI highly.

Very good experience - on time, clear budget, fulfill agreements

MCI started off and did an admirable job on my stone work for two sections. When it came time to do the major stone work ( grout/ pointing) around the pool area, I was informed by Max that there was no concrete under my stone work. So , instead of using actual cement grout, they used a sand compound, which didn't hold for more than one year. This solution was a one day job, versus probably a full week or more. Anyway, my stone work around my pool is a total loss. I'm getting new bids, and YES, there is cement under my stonework. . Now I have pay twice to get it fixed.

They came with a large crew and did the work quickly. One part (fixing stone retaining walls) was very quick and they did an excellent job. The second (fixing the cement grouting on a flagstone walkway) was an excellent result but created a huge mess when the ground out grout was blown all over the front and stuck like glue to plants. The third (fixing a large flag stone patio with a soft grout compound) was not well done at all and created a really bad mess when the dry rubbery joint compound was blown around and stuck everywhere, even under my grill cover. That joint compound is also coming up in less than a year. So, traditional masonry work was done very well but with a huge mess, but they could not handle more modern material and do a consistent job.

MCI built a low retaining wall behind my carport to divert water flowing downhill from two directions. I am very pleased with the quality and timeliness of the work.

MCI Construction Company has done a fantastic job rebuilding the retaining walls for two trees in front of my house. Max, the owner not only provided a great estimate but also able to put together a team to complete the job the very next day. The workmanship on the retaining wall was top-notch, better than expected. I should also note that upon learning one of his crew accidentally took my shovel after the cleaning up, Max immediately took action by sending me a brand new shovel even though I told him it was unnecessary.

Max was pleasant and easy to work with. He did a great job and I will hire him again. Multiple of my neighbor stopped by to ask for his contact information. And one of them even asked me where did I find him.

I strongly recommend MCI Contractors for any garden work you need. I have had 5 contractors work on my homes each for 3 to 7 day contracts. By far, MCI Contractors was the best experience. There are several reasons why. First, the contractor (Max) and his crew were extremely easy to work with. When I had any questions, they immediately answered them. When I disagreed with an approach they were taking, they always said "Sir, whatever you want." None of the other 4 contractors said anything like that to me. Second, Max and his subcontractors are very diligent and timely. Even though I did not ask them to do this, they started working on Memorial Day!!! Every other contractor I worked with would always look for an excuse to delay the start of their work. Third, Max and his crew exceeded my expectations. I simply wanted my backyard garden transformed from (honestly) a weed garden to a patio with stone pavers. Before Max and his crew started their work, my backyard garden was the worst in the neighborhood. Now it is the best! I did not not anticipate this at all. It is all because Max wanted to do the best quality work for my family!
