Reviews
Write a ReviewCharles was able to quickly and fairly do the needed work and provided reasonable quote for ongoing maintenance. Excellent communications. Very pleased.
Reliable and knows his business. Used them for 10+ years
Honest, fair, and reliable customer service! Has provided HVAC support to me for over 10 years!
I spoke with Mr. Pratt on Saturday morning and he told me he could accommodate me as his last appointment of the day. He came to our house on Saturday evening. He arrived about 7:30 PM and fixed our air conditioning system that night. He left about 11:30 PM. He was good and he was thorough and explained to us exactly the problem. I have a home warranty on my house and the company that the home warranty sent to me kept changing their price until I finally told them not to come to my home anymore. I then called one of the large and well-known HVAC companies in the area. They gave me a price of $3300 to which I said no. It was then I called home advisor and soon after Mr. Pratt of Maximum HVAC called. He fixed my AC for $704. The problem with my AC was not the expensive evaporator coil as the other company said but rather a valve which needed to be replaced and Freon needed to be pumped into the system. I told Mr. Pratt that I would put his name into our neighborhood directory of responsible vendors.
We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Charlie Prat and Maximum Mechanical. We came home to find our Furnace had gone off. It was 8pm on a Saturday night and the temperature outside was 17 degrees. Not knowing who to call I went to home advisor and hoped to find and emergency number for someone who could help. Charlie did not receive the referral until the next morning, which was a Sunday. He called us at 9am and offered to come out. He stayed for three hours and did everything he could to get our burner going. He diagnosed the problem in just 15 minutes and the rest of the time he spent trying to get the part on a Sunday. He was professional and gave a fair price. I will definitely call on him in the future. He is THE BEST!. On Saturday night when the burner was out we called Michael and Sons because that was the only person I could find with an emergency number. A tech came out at 11pm and was here for 45 min. He diagnosed the problem as the Gas Valve Control. In total the job would have cost me 1k and he couldn't fix it until Tuesday. The problem really was the ignitor and the total price was 431.00 with Charlie Prat. So it just goes to show the big box store is not always the best option. Thanks Again Charlie!!
Charles Prat, knowledgeable, punctual, quick to diagnose and good customer service. I believe industry wide the price markup on parts is a little excessive but found other contractors costs were either close or higher. Overall, getting quick service on a Sunday with below freezing temps was a godsend. Thank you!
Late by several hours so rescheduled and late by several hours again. Took way to long since always on the phone. Rushed important areas and thus the lacking quality. Will have to fix his mistakes myself, not exactly sure what I just paid for an used my entire afternoon and evening for
I submitted my request for a contractor online around 10 am on a Saturday morning for a furnace that was not turning on. He immediately called me to let me know when he could be at my house. He called when he was on the way. He had the part I needed on his truck and finished the job in less than one hour. The total repair was $120. I think he was finished before noon. Very nice.
Showed up on time and fixed everything for a very reasonable cost
The guy was on time, friendly and did a great job. Would use this company again. Would ask for same guy.
