Reviews
Write a ReviewI hired Jason originally because I liked his honesty and his price. He is a **no-nonsense kind of guy**. Jason had an unfortunate experience with my ceiling. I had dense pack cellulose blown into my condo ceiling as an effort to dampen the noise of neighbors stomping upstairs. The place was built in the 70s (no sound proofing whatsoever) and unfortunately they have wood floors up there. The first disappointment was that it did not really work. It muffled the noise a little, but not like I was expecting. Even Jason admitted this after the job was done. And to be honest, I had other contractors who said the same thing. I really feel like it is snake oil. After the installation, my place was incredibly dusty. Even though they cleaned after their job, there was still debris falling from the ceiling and everything was coated in dust. My place was like a snow globe. Because of this, I got so sick I had to lay in bed all weekend and miss important plans. Not only that, but the ceiling was over stuffed and the drywall started to bulge and crack in multiple places. They came back the following weekend to **fix it**. Another weekend lost. I had another company repair/refinish the ceiling, and even though they did a great job, in the evening light you can still see the imperfections all over the ceiling due to the bulging and cracking. Jason blamed the construction of the condo saying that whoever installed the ceiling in the first place mistakenly used nails instead of screws, causing the bulges. He was pretty reasonable and gracious throughout the process, and did give me a discount on the service. But you can imagine how unfortunate it is to have a ruined ceiling; it was incredibly stressful and will never be totally immaculate again. I think Jason would be a great fit for attic projects, but I would be weary about altering a. existing ceiling, especially in older construction. Actually, that goes for any contractor. Beware of this process. You might better off getting a drop ceiling installed if it is sound insulation you are after.
Sound control has never been guaranteed and I always tell anyone who wants it that it may or may not be effective. There have been sound control jobs done by my company that has worked wonderfully and some that have not. And I have never run into a ceiling that was secured with nails instead of drywall screws. That was the reason for the bowed ceiling and subsequent repairs. We did everything we could to rectify the situation and stand by our work ethic and company reputation.
Fast - friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend them
Jason was very professional and not pushy when he came out to give me a estimate. He was a little higher priced but i liked the way he conducted his business. I would use them again.
Worked hard. Hope they did a good job

They did a good job for our attic that was in sore need for more insulation.
