One New Creation, LLC

Earlier this year, Mario and his team at One New Creation finished a full renovation on a shotgun double in New Orleans. This was an extensive project that took over a year to complete. It involved extensive repairs and remodeling to all systems of the house: carpentry, roofing, foundation work, reducing chimneys, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and completely remodeling a kitchen. To add to the complexity, this was all supervised remotely, via FaceTime and periodic visits, from my current home in Boston. Bottom line is that Marioâ s work was impeccable. I was kept fully informed of the progress of the project. When inevitable unpleasant surprises involving rot and age occurred, Mario was straightforward in addressing it. His suggestions regarding both style and substance decisions was always useful. His attention to period detail in an old house was excellent. Minor snafus involving subcontractors were always solved effectively. Last but not least, the punch list items were all addressed with the same promptness as work at the beginning of the project. We have since stayed at our new home for a week. Everything was as we expected. I cannot recommend Mario and his company more highly. I have been a homeowner since 1992. This is easily the best contracting experience I have ever had.

Of all the remodeling projects we have done; ( 3 houses, 9 projects from $50,000 to $ 600,000 ), our interaction and collaboration with One New Creation,f or 2 projects in New Orleans , was the most satisfying and exceeded our expectations. Mario Saavedra is an owner / project manager / contractor with integrity and fine character. He is easy to work with, pays attention to detail, is efficient, cost conscious, pursues perfection and achieves excellence in the final product. He has a core of 10-15 young men who work together well and all contribute to a terrific outcome. They are easily a Google 5 star, and if Michelin reviewed more than restaurants all over the world, One New Creation would be their highest designation, 3 star, as well.

Contractor was superior in project management, daily hands-on review of progress, all labors were courteous, listened to any concerns and daily picked up all trash, and stored all equipment. They made this a less stressful experience. I highly recommend them higly for professional job.

My wife and I have used One New Creation for 2 home remodel, one was a small rental house that we took down to the studs and remodeled and the second was repairing our house after Ida destroyed a large part of it. Mario is extremely helpful and attentive. Anytime we ran across some sort of obstacle Mario communicated well with us on any delays or cost increases that may have resulted. We will continue to use and recommend Mario for any needed construction needs in the future.

Mario remodeled our home after Ida damaged a large portion of it. He did an incredible job, and is very professional and pays attention to the details! We contacted Mario to fix the Ida damage because he redid a rental house for us a few years ago and did a great job. I would highly recommend him and his company. He is always responsive and gives great input when youâ re unsure about any part of the process. I will continue to use One New Creation for any home repairs or remodeling and I always refer him to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

Mario and his team were the best thing that could have happened for us with our bathroom remodel. His communication was great throughout the whole process. He even went way above and beyond to helping my wife and I decide every detail of the remodel we had questions with. And with this being our first time, it was a lot of questions. His wife even searched and helped us find the flooring we had so we didnâ t have to buy a whole new floor. His crew was very knowledgeable and respectful as well. Marioâ s team at one new creations has been the most professional team I have dealt with in a long time. And to top it all off, the quality of work is definitely first class. You canâ t go wrong using his services as a contractor and I will definitely call him again for our next home upgrade.

Caution: Gets in with a low quote then dumps a massive, surprise bill, demanding payment. After finishing the work, we were slapped with a bill 3x the original estimate due to added expenses without so much as a heads-up. While we expected some additional costs, we have never experienced a 3-fold increase and the unexpected overages put us in a terrible financial spot. ⠨⠨When talking to this contractor, he showed no remorse and did not t see anything wrong with his actions. This leads me to believe he is not a professional, reliable contractor and might build his business on being predatory. I am honestly sad to leave this review because the quality of work met our expectations and the workers were respectful and detailed for the most part. I urge future customers to engage in meticulous discussions about potential expenses before proceeding with any project to prevent them from finding themselves in a similar financial crisis. .Consider asking for an updated invoice every day or go with another contractor

Hired them to refinish some very fine wood porches that had been finished incorrectly by another company. Price was transparent and crew was absolutely the most professional as I've seen. They showed up on time, were super cool people, work was spotless, and job done. Hiring again soon.
