We were extremely pleased with the beautiful remodel and outstanding customer service from Rome Bath, Forty Fort. Due to safety reasons, we needed to update my mothers tub from the 60's to a walk-in shower. From our initial consultation with Brian, to Jim and the crew who handled the day of install. Everything was as promised and on time. It truly was a one day remodel - and they left my mother's house clean and items back in place. I'm sorry we waited so long to do this project. This team made it an easy experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend.

We recently had Rome Bath replace a garden tub with a walk in tub. From Tim, the salesman to Ken and Christian, the installers, they were extremely professional. The installation went great and they were very neat and respectful. They made sure we were happy every step of the way and that we knew exactly how to operate the tub features. We would highly recommend them.

The guys at Rome Bath did a beautiful job on our main bathroom. Not only were they punctual, courteous and professional, they replaced the whole floor and support beams when they discovered there was rot. They also did extra electrical work on the bathroom and left trim for us so we could put in wainscoting and wallpaper. They couldn’t have been nicer or more professional and we love our new bathroom!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
