Write a ReviewChimney still leaks
Did not complete any of the work and took all payment. Now they will not return my calls or emails to refund the payment that they received for cero work completed.
Very polite and friendly. They found one problem on the outside of the chimney and took care of right away. We've already started using our fireplace and everything works great. I would recommend Shamrock chimney sweep. Nice company.
Came to inspect and did the job the same day
Letâ s start off by saying no call no show for first appointment to simply sweep chimney and install stove pipe on brand new wood stove. After waiting all day for them to show I received a call canceling appointment and rescheduling it one week later. Once again no call no show, so I called and then they said they would be out later in the afternoon. They showed up finally at 4:15 pm when they were supposed to be here between 9am and 11:00 am. The two guys that came out installed the stove pipe incorrectly and did a sloppy unprofessional job. Before leaving they said I could start my wood stove after one hour, but it didnâ t look right so I decided to wait. I then had a professional wood stove installer come out and look at the work that was done, and low and behold it was not done properly and he recommended not to use my wood stove as my house would fill up with smoke, so big safety issue here. After learning this information I tried contacting the company to explain someone needed to come out and fix this problem and I would be sending pictures of the awful job this company did and I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. They never even had the decency to call me back. My husband then tried to call and have the situation taken care of but didnâ t get anywhere with the company! If I could give a negative 0 star review, I would! I would not recommend Shamrock Chimney to anyone!!! Do yourself a favor save your money and hire a real professional company that doesnâ t have amateur employees working for them!!!
Came out to clean my chimney, told me I needed to repair the crown. Three days later I had to go up on the roof and patch a crack myself right where he said he was working, clearly he missed a spot. Not a huge deal, but when I started a fire and my whole house filled with smoke I investigated and found they charged me for the cleaning and repairs, however they failed to clean the chimney. $75.00 to clean chimney then $750.00 for crown repair..... Come on test your employees and fire the bad ones that dont do their job properly.
The gentleman were quick and efficient. Offered some additional options but did not try to heavy sell when I declined them. They left my house clean with the job well done.
Two guys from Shamrock Chimney showed up and did a great job. They were on time, seemed knowledgeable and got the job done. They even did a favor and took my ladder off the roof for me. I highly recommend Shamrock Chimney!
AVOID THIS COMPANY!! They engage in VERY SHADY business practices and do ABSOLUTELY LOUSY work. I'm embarrassed to say I got scammed by them to the tuned of $4,500. I donâ t want others to suffer the same, especially elderly in Maine and NH who live on fixed incomes and can ill afford to be scammed in the way I was. Their work was lousy and they refused throughout to fix or even acknowledge the painfully obvious issues I raised with them. When I finally threatened to withhold payment until they did what I was asking of them, one of the two-man crew stated, very Tony Soprano-like, something very close to, "You really don't know who you're dealing with. You don't want to mess with these people." "These people"? In the end, the job was done not in the least to my satisfaction. The crew leader, Albin from Stamford, CT, said to text him the following week, and he'd see if they might be able to come out to address some of the issues I had with their work. I texted him four times over the ensuing three weeks and got zero replies. I was originally promised a 20-year warranty on the work. When Albin wrote the revised work order up, he included a 10-year warranty. When I said I was promised 20 years, he simply crossed out the 10 and inserted 20, saying, "There. Are you happy?" Ten years or 20 doesn't matter, as I knew fully well, at that point, that their warranty is absolutely worthless. While setting the job up, I had no problem calling their office. Now that the work is â done,â every time I call, I get voice mail and my calls have never been returned. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND AVOID SHAMROCK C & C AND GETTING SCAMMED BY THEM THE WAY I DID!
