Reviews
Write a ReviewEmployee was detail oriented, customer service focused, and easy to work with. He was careful and conscientious. He cleaned up after the job well. The owners attention to detail was not as high and he was not as careful. They did a little extra work for us but at the same time we ended up with paint on several parts of our carpet that will not come out, my stepping stool got sprayed with paint (and when I pointed it out to the owner, there was no offer to clean it), and at times the conversations between them would turn to talking about past customers that were challenging. At one point they were talking up a storm more than working and in that area had to re-do painting because an area was missed. The pricing was middle of the ground compared to other quotes received. The owner was aware we had a time frame to meet and was willing to work with us to get it done in time. We appreciated that.
Great job with my house. Start to finish, from estimating to being prompt to cleaning up I can't say enough good things about them. I highly recommend them!
Company painted my ceilings and did a good job. They then painted the walls. On the day they left, it was cloudy and the paint was wet. It looked like the paint had covered okay. Jim promised to return to the next couple days to fix any problem areas. I made the mistake of paying him. When the paint dried and the sun came out the next day, there were many places with the original paint color showing through. There were some places with no paint. There was a paint hand print on my couch. He called and said someone would be out. Five days later he sent a worker out for 1.5 hours without a drop cloth and only a small roller and a paint brush. He touched up one wall and a couple other small places in one area of the hallway. He stated that he would need a bigger roller and that he would be back the next day. No one returned. I left messages with Jim and sent pictures of the no paint and lack of paint areas and paint on my couch. I offered to let him work nights and weekends so it would not interfere with any other jobs. I offered to pay for the additional paint needed to cover the walls according to his contract. He did not respond for 3 weeks and that was to tell me he was not coming back and to not contact him again. I had two other paint contractors look at the work and bid on fixing it, and they stated at this point the only way to fix the problem was to put a second coat of paint on all the walls. My advice, if you hire him, do not pay him until you are 100% satisfied and have looked at the paint after it has dried and in different light conditions.
A very professional & knowledgeable team. They were always on time and stayed as long as it took to keep on track with the set timeline. Adjusted great to some changes we made while they were working. Even fixed a leg on my bed that broke when I tried to move it! The only problem I had was my wooden floor. They covered it but I still spent about 4 days cleaning the paint specks and getting it polished back up to its original shine. Thanks for the awesome job and I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends!
Prompt. Eager to work. Focused.
Jim and his team did an awesome job on my place, great price bid, finished the job 1 day early and even did some extra work, place looks like new !! Will always use him in the future !!!
He has to come back and finished the job correctly!
I have no idea where this came from, when we finished job he was happy and paid me. Jerry and I walked the job, it was a small job only charged him $544.00 couple gables, porch lid, 2 lattice pieces, and 30 ft of fence. He called me 2 days later and said it looked like a couple spots were missed on back gable, I said when weather got better I would be more than happy to come back and touch up. 4 days later I saw this review and was stunned. I always make sure the customer is happy!!! I sure wish he would have said something instead of blindsiding me, this is a totally bogus and unfair review. If you are reading this I ask you to please read my other reviews.
Jim McLaughlin and his two associates buddy and Greg did a fantastic job on her house. They were very thorough, meticulous and quite reasonable for what they charged. They cleaned up afterwards and my wife and myself are very satisfied with the excellent work they’ve done. Five star highly recommended
I got four bids and Cascade Coatings was by far the best one. Preparation was very thorough, paint job is beautiful. Three great guys who were a pleasure to work with. Perhaps the best contractor experience I have ever had. Highly recommend.
Great guys. Great job. Not a problem to be around when they are working. Very competitive pricing. Not the fastest but we we working around the weather. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.
