    On 8-26-2020 at approximately 5:30 PM, Brian (from Dustmen Electric) arrived at my home to provide a service call for a whole house fan. At that time, I was told there was a $150 service call fee. After Brian's assessment of the fan, he found that the belt was slipping on the fan's motor. So, after he replaced the belt, I asked if he could let the fan run for about ten minutes just to ensure that the fan would not continue to stall. Brian stated that it was a 45-minute drive to his home and that he had to get back to his wife and kids. He went on to say that the job for my home was an add-on job and the end of his day. I replied, **Well if it is a 45-minute drive, an additional ten minutes to test the fan should not really matter**. So I cut the fan on and asked him to please wait ten minutes. Brian became impatient and turned the fan off after only five minutes. To my dismay, it basically became a tug of war with him as I proceeded to turn the fan back on in an attempt to ensure that it worked properly before he left. However, it did not work properly and the fan stalled out again (before ten minutes had elapsed). That is when I realized that Brians unwillingness to wait stemmed from the fact that he knew that the fan was not going to work properly. With that being said, Brian still wanted me to pay full-price for a service that returned zero results. In an attempt to come to some middle ground, I offered to pay for the service call at a price of $150. However, when I attempted to hand him my credit card, I also requested documentation of his work as with invoicing. Brian stated that Dustmen Electric adds a 3.8 % fee to all credit card transactions and that he cannot provide documentation for work since all documentation comes from the office. So, I called the office and was told that the 3.8% fee is correct. But that doesnâ t explain the paperwork. I do not know of any business that operates without providing customersâ paperwork. Nevertheless, I wrote a check for the service call in the amount of $150 and gave it to Brian before he left. Sadly, at the end of the day, I am $150 less, with an inoperable whole house fan, and no better for it than I was before Brian of Dustmen Electric arrived.

    Brian and Nate were the techs on site, they were AWESOME. Very friendly and knew their stuff. Brian was working non stop from the time he got to my house. And the quality of workmanship and supplies exceeded my standards. I have more electrical projects that need to be done and I will be using Dustmen Electric LLC again
