Overall I had a good impression about the customer service and professionalism of Hicks Plumbing. Before Hicks, I had set up an appointment for a water heater assessment with another plumber; the other plumber never showed up despite two different appointment times. When I called Hicks, I was quite nervous the same thing would happen. In fact, when they had an earlier opening they called me and asked if I would want them to come early - which was great! They were able to assess and replace our water heater in the same day. The only reason for 3 stars and not 5 is because removal of the old water heater damaged our stairs and the lack of follow-up for a request. Our plumber was nice enough to come back later that evening to do some repair work on the stairs he damaged in removing the old water heater. But I wished he had listened to my initial suggestion to remove it from the back door and not the front. Also, they misspelled my name on the receipt. When I asked for a correction, I never heard back. In general, I would be happy to work with this company again. Though a bit pricey, the on-site customer service was good and the quality of service was excellent.

Hicks responded quickly to our call about a water leak and quickly diagnosed the problem. They came back out equally quickly a second time to install the toilet.

Responded immediately, was able to provide estimate within the day and on the early side of time slot (indicated between 3:00-5:00PM and arrived 3:20), estimate cost was reasonable for both toilets (1 leaked and other continued to flush on its own) so I requested the repair. Work completed within ½ hr.

We had an outdoor spigot that was leaking through the brick exterior of our 1966 townhouse. Hicks Plumbing was prompt to respond, professional, courteous. Was impressed with their knowledge of how to work with an older home and a botched spigot repair job done by a different plumber, 10 years ago. Within a couple of hours on a Saturday morning, they had the job done and we were able to spend the rest of our day doing yard work. Fee was very responsible.
