Beware! This is the best advice I can give someone looking for a contractor. I have dealt with some bad contractor⠠s but this one got the prize for most crooked. My experience started off great until you make a deal with him, then he becomes unavailable. Leonard is unclear on his scope of work and when you ask for a material list to make sure the products offered are being purchased, you will be ignored. I am an experienced builder and know when work is good or bad. I was intentionally home while the sub￾contractor was here. They came out a total of 2.5 days starting at 10:00 each morning leaving at 5. The first day they installed two beams and reframed 2 windows. These were 22⠠manufactured beams. Two workers showed up in a car, the owner of the sub company, 16- 2X4⠠s and a nail gun that broke on the job (not a big deal that happens) but my on-staff contractor had to lend his so they could finish the job. My contractor also had to help them lift the beams as two men was not enough for the weight of the beam. The owner of the sub company dropped off the 2x4⠠s and left. When they were cutting the top plates, they cut a wire behind the wall and did not tell me, my employee told me. Three days later and a lot of complaining an electrician came out to fix it and asked me how it was going to get paid. This was the point I started expressing to Leonard I was concerned about the ability of this crew. He said they were top notch and well will fix what is messed up. LIE! They ended up using 2 sheets of OSB and 2- 2X6X12, which they promised to return and didn⠠t. Day two they came out in a car, not materials, a few tools and started working on the siding. The siding was delivered. The original contract arrangement was that he was going to go to the bare studs and replace and rotted wood. Can⠠t do that with no materials. I didn⠠t find it necessary so I told the workers they can keep the T-11 up if it is not rotted. I went out to check on their work and guess what? They were keeping the rotted wood on there. Thank the Lord I caught that before the Tyvek went up or I never would have known. Here I am offering less work, and they still want to do me wrong. That day they also used nail guns to install my vinyl windows and they shot through the frame of my new window. Day three, they came out with a little bit bigger crew to install the siding. My employee asked if they brought 2 x4⠠s for nailers from the porch. The guy said no so he offered mine I had on the ground as scrape wood. The guy started comparing his work to my employee and my employee showed him the gaps they had on the wall from day one installing the windows. The owner gets on the phone with my employee as none of them speak English and can⠠t communicate well. The owner started cussing at my employee. The owner told his guys to leave. So I told Leonard to send out another crew as he bragged about being a big company with a crew of 27, but he could not provide another crew as they were ⠠busy⠠. So, I will wait! Leonard shut the job down- which is my blessing after all. He said I could keep the material as he said it was $7700 worth of materials. The next day he emailed me again after I agree on the phone to keep it, and said they were coming to get it. He charged my Synchrony account $7238.00 for 2 days and a morning, which I have a disputed. He sent an unitized invoice with no break down of charges. This man should not be in business. Save yourself the headache and court proceedings and find another contractor. His other reviews show some of this behavior I have mentioned. I have documentation, videos and pics if anyone wants to reach out and confirm my statement.

Response from Company:

Debra, It is disheartening to see this review from you especially since we have done what we can on our end to have a peaceful resolution to the issues at hand. We agree that your project did not go as planned and apologize for the frustrations you experienced during this process. Keystone is not a perfect company but we do try everything in our power to make issues right when things are brought to our attention. Most of what you stated above, Keystone also has documentation and videos, and pics of all correspondence. Our owner is a woman so we are also concerned about why you keep assuming we have a male owner. Please refrain from posting any negative comments that are untrue about our business. We also have a rating of A on the BBB website and have multitudes of wonderful reviews and positive customer experiences that we are proud of. Debra, if you would like to resolve this matter in a respectful way, we would be more than happy to talk. Please call our office at 713-300-1867. Thank you!

We had Greg come out and give us a quote and were happy and comfortable with him and the his presentation. He was not pushy and provided a fair price for what we needed done. We went on to have the work done and his team kept us in the loop on everything and our project turned out great.
