Moved a stove outlet. The technician left the old hole uncovered. Yes, we had an appointment at 9am. When scheduling an appointment it was understood and in writing that we would meet around 9am. The person I had arrived no later than 9:14am. I was charged an extra $15.00. (The tardy arrival was stated as the reason for the extra charge). My immediate question to the technician and to this company is if they had been 14 minutes late would they have refunded part of their estimate? I think not. I gave the technician a 3 star rating and that was generous. I have not seen too many electrical jobs where the old hole was left open. There are better companies, I am sure.
This has become too common with a few of our customers. Actually, I saw it coming that they are going to complain no matter what we do. Our time is just as important as yours. We don't start our time for any customer until we're on the job site including travel time. I spoke to David over the phone and I specifically told him, we don't patch holes (sheetrock). He said that is fine they would take care of it. We did blank off the hole anyway, at no charge. He also does not mention that we had to wait 30 minutes to get paid. They didn't have any form of payment on hand. Regarding a better company, just look at our star rating from reasonable and understanding customers. Such a big complaint about such a small job.
Jerry, our LT electrician did an awesome job. Our den and back deck did not have power. He could not immediately find the problem, but he searched every electrical plug and switch in the area without power. After a while he came across one switch that he found was cracked and by jiggling it the lights flickered in the den and deck. He removed the switch and per our request replaced the other switch too. Once he did this our desktop computers, tv, sound system, wifi, DVR and disk played lit up like a Christmas tree. If you need some one who is tenacious at his job, ask for Jerry. We we very happy with the job he did. As far as the final price for his work, LT Electric was very comparable to the industry. We indeed got what we paid for and recommend Jerry and LT Electric to anyone need electrical service.

I rated the customer service low because they did not respond in a timely manner after I accepted the contract. I had to keep calling them about when they were coming. Then, they didn't show up at the designated time which required additional calls.

Did not complete the work
Sometimes customer's leave feedback that is unjustified. We did finish the work that we were called out to complete but the customer wanted more work done for the same amount of the not to exceed quote. To be more specific he had us relocate and install a customer furnished motion fixture, well the fixture had no power to it in the first place, so we told him it would be an extra charge to troubleshoot the circuit. The tech did do some initial testing but the work was more in depth. He told the tech. to wrap it up and he would re-schedule to have work done at a later time. Thanks Louis
Update: July 30, 2018, please update your records to indicate that we were contacted by LT Electric (Louis, Owner) via a text on July 26, 2018, stating that, Why don't you find something better to do, then to bother a 4.6 stars company. You didn't get your way, so move on you ungrateful customer. Any more correspondence from you, I'm going to turn you in to my attorney for harassment. We have not sent anything or contacted this company since June 4, 2018, when Louis sent us an email and decided not to provide us with the $100 refund unless we adjusted our ratings. July 16, 2018, here is an update to our complaint against LT Electric (Louis Talamantez, Owner). On May 24, 2018, we reached out to Home Advisor Customer Solutions Team to aid us in resolving this issue. On May 31, 2018, Louis sent us an email agreeing to refund us only $75 of the $200 we paid. Louis stated, being that my technician did go out there, we responded by agreeing to a refund of $100 because we did not believe it was fair that his technician received $125 for just coming out and hanging the thermostats. On June 4, 2018, Louis sent an email back agreeing to refund the $100 if we change our rating first. We did not agree to adjust the rating until he refunded us the $100 first. Louis made it all about the rating he and his company received and not about the job that his technician performed incorrectly. So we agree to disagree and still have not received a refund to date for their less than acceptable service. Again, this is the worst service we have received from any company and we would not recommend this company to anyone. We also still recommended that Home Advisor remove LT Electric from their list of Professionals. May 17, 2018, We were so disappointed with the install. We hired LT Electric & Sign to install both of our Nest thermostats at the cost of $200. The Electrician hooked up both thermostats incorrectly (2 of 6 wires at downstairs unit & 3 of 6 wires at upstairs unit). After the LT Electric technician finished the job, he failed to perform an operational check of the systems & did not setup/program the system. When he finished hooking up the thermostats, he turned back on the circuit breakers and left for another job. I had to program the system and I realized quickly that something was wrong with it. In the 'cool' position, our AC unit blew out heat instead of cool air. Temperatures in our home reached 90 degrees so we had to turn off the AC system and run ceiling fans in all rooms. We called the technician shortly after he left our home to explain the problem. He said he would return that evening after completing the job he was on, but never did. We contacted the owner (Louis) and his position was to say how good his technicians are and refused to make any adjustments with our payment, provide us a refund, or make any plans to revisit us to fix the problem (thermostats). Update:7-19-18. CONTRACTORS BEWARE! I would not recommend any type of contractor having to work for this unreasonable customer like (Willie Holt), period. Look at past ratings and quit harassing us. All that hot air for $200, really. He is upset because he jumped the gun and made a mistake. We always stand behind our work despite what he is claiming. As ungrateful people try to use other people as a scapegoat for their own mistakes and try to get more from our electricians after they arrive to do the initial work. Then "jumping the gun" and having no patience on a service call in which we made a mistake on wiring two thermostats. He also wanted us to program the thermostats, which was not part of the phone quote. Willie did not give us a chance to return and take care of the issue, instead, he called another company right away. Then he wants a refund after he has called someone else. Since someone else touches the thermostats, it now voids all warranties. Yes, my tech told him he could come back later, but doesn't make the schedule. The tech was sent to other projects and that is when Willie lost his patience. He gave us a low rating but LOOK AT OUR PAST TRACK RECORD WITH HOME ADVISORS, IT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. We move on. As of 7-31-18, this customer continues to harass us. We have no choice but to hand the situation over to our attorney.

The work was to replace an existing ceiling fan. The electrician was timely and efficient. He took the old fan down and assembled the installed the new fan in a little over an hours time. He was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. I would use this company again.
