Reviews
Write a ReviewGood customer service from the delightful sales person (senior project specialist) to the project manager who have us confidence, to the friendly hard working crew (all brothers and sisters from Hondoras!) Our roof is beautiful. Only 2 regrets. First, that I can not see the new acquisition every day without going outside to look at it. And second, that no one brought donuts. ;)
They worked within the weather constraints to get the job done fast once scheduled.
Excellent salesperson
Shaq Frett and Chris Reynard excellent sales representatives
Long Baths provide excellent service and their products are top notch with a lifetime warranty. I love my new shower.
Installation and follow-up on an issue were professional and thorough.
My roof was installed June 2019. Installation crew ran out of materials for my small townhouse roofing job and their air compressor also failed. They did not have backup compressor and did not promptly try to find another one, so they stopped work and threw tarps over the half finished roof - it rained that night. They backed their work truck and trailer on to my front lawn to catch debris on the tear down and broke off a large piece of cement on my front steps. When they came back to finish, it took much longer due to the materials problem. Nobody on the crew spoke English, so they could not respond well to my questions. Time periods given for the roof and gutter crew were not accurate. They showed up at random times which forced me to make work adjustments. When they left the crew did not clean up the property of debris such as nails, roofing scraps, and gutter scraps. There was debris all through my lawn and bushes as well as back deck and lawn. The crew manager seemed to have challenges getting the crew straightened out. Through many phone calls to him as well as the office manager I got them to come out to clean the property of debris using a magnet and other means. They also sent someone out to patch the front steps and to replace the large piece of cement missing. Not sure if this patch will hold up over time - may need to have a professional to come out in the future and Long will be billed. Finally, at the very end, there was a $2000 error in my remaining balance that I had to bring to their attention. When I asked what they got right on my roofing job they did not have an answer, because there is nothing.
I chose Long Roofing and paid the premium price because I believe they have leverage over their sub-contractors to do a good job. I think the roof is great, but the salesmen said the roofers would first lay down tarps. The tarps had not arrived, but the workers started removing the old shingles anyway. That s when roofing nails are flying. I called Long, and they just said, *Thanks for the feedback, this is how we grow*. GROW? How long has Long been roofing and still you do not know that this is when the nails fly all over the yard? That s what the tarps were supposed to be for. After the job was finished the roofers waved a 12-inch magnet around the yard but not the 3-foot roller kind you see on their website. I took my own magnet and found over 200 nails and screws in the yard and bushes. These are nails that I or my grandchildren could have stepped on and should have landed on the tarps and been found by THEIR magnets. My 95-year-old dad had his roof replaced and had a button nail go through his toe. He had not paid the roofer yet and told him that when his insurance company reimburses him for his medical expenses he would send him a check. They must have been waiting for him to die but after a couple of years, they sent him $6,000. My dad paid the roofer. I should get some of my *Premium price* back for the time I put in doing their job. Make sure Long s contractors lay down the tarps first and get your own magnet for finding nails after any roofers leave.
Roof cost was triple the average cost for the same work-thought we would receive quality product. Workers were sloppy, rushed through the job to complete it in one day. Unprofessional company representatives-unwilling to correct mistakes. Workers returned approx. 5 times and work still not done properly but they were still requesting payment. We are very disappointed in Long Fence. Although we read rave reviews we did not receive that same quality work and professionalism,. We will not be recommending them to anyone.
I'm looking forward to returning to this site to change my rating to a 5. Erwin &Will were fantastic! I was so pleased to speak with them. I'm very excited about this project. Thank you.
