looks good
I met Martin McNally by chance at the local post office & asked him if he would consider bidding my residential driveway. 4 days later the job is done! I am so happy with the work of McNally Asphalt, especially the care they took in prepping the ground before pouring the asphalt. I have learned this is the essential part of a successful job, please read my back story below. I highly recommend this company and appreciate the careful work done at my home. BACK STORY I had my driveway done last spring by Parker Grading & Asphalt. Within 30 days, the driveway had major cracks. I had trouble getting the company to honor their 90 warranty and $860.00 later they removed the bad driveway (they withheld $500 of my money to remove the driveway and I had to pay an attorney $360 to help me with the situation). By comparison to McNally Asphalt, Parker Grading and Asphalt did the minimum to prepare the road before pouring the asphalt resulting in, and I quote the owner Mary, a "mess". They should have honored their guarantee and all I can say is Buyer Beware.
Very knowledgeable. Willing to answer all questions in order to put the clients mund at rest. Very enjoyabl experience if paving can be enjoyable. Would absolutely use them again.
Excellent work performed on time and according to specifications.
Pete McNally says he's not a fly by night contractor. Try to get him to come back and fix a job they done. Good luck He does not return texts or phone calls . Once he was paid in full . He makes little if no effort to fix a problem. When we first met Pete was a very nice guy saying he stands behind his work. I would suggest you do a water test yourself Before you pay for the job. Everything looked good until the first rain storm and I had a big puddle in front of my stairs. Called Pete he said he will do what ever it takes to fix it. He only comes back if he has another job in your area. His crew came back and made it worst. Now Pete McNally won't even return texts or phone calls. Very disappointed with his lack of integrity. His warranty isn't worth the paper its written on.
We paved this driveway graded everything to perfection water flow was right the customer added porch that prevents the water from flowing properly, therefore, it backs up when there is a very heavy rain went back out repaired it twice have the water flowing but not in the direction the homeowner wants have answered phone calls text message and like I said before dispatch two different crews out there we pride ourselves at McNally Asphalt and our integrity and our workmanship and quality and strive for perfection as we have been in business for over 30 years in the Denver area so no such thing as a fly-by-night with this company
I left a negative review last week regarding cracks developing in my new driveway. Pete finally did respond and promptly sent his guys out to fill the cracks. I'm not crazy about having many tar filled cracks in a driveway that's less than 6 mos old, but at least Pete is taking action to remedy the problem.
I hired McNally Asphalt last year to provide an overlay to my existing driveway. They were very eager to do the work. Pete McNally came out repeatedly to discuss the job and provide me with an quote. They completed the job and within three months the driveway is crumbling. The overlay in sections is crumbling. This spring Pete came out and said yes its a problem but they couldn't work on it yet, too cold. Told me to call back this summer. Now Pete can never find the time to come out. Called repeatedly, left message on website and text often and still can't get ahold of them. Pete is only suggesting a seal coat when I feel it needs a patch replacement. At this point I don't have a resolution. After this was posted on HomeAdvisor, Pete called me and agreed to send his crew out to provide the seal coat. It was not until the fall of 2016 did we schedule a seal coat which I was told would correct the problem. After the seal coat was applied the driveway still continued to crumble. I called and explained and at that time a patch was recommended for the crumbling areas. I expressed that we did not want a patched up driveway and requested a chip seal. I was told that a patch was the only way to repair the issue and that the patch would hardly be seen. After the patch I notified McNally immediately that the patch looks bad, the patched area did not cover all of the crumbling areas and we were not satisfied. I was asked by McNally to call other asphalt companies to ask what they recommend how to repair the driveway. I did and got varying answers from tear out, redo patch and chip seal. Now we are in summer 2017 and I still have the issue of a crumbling driveway, a poor looking patched up drive as well as the seal coat is flaking off as it were peeling paint. I have been working with Pete since this project started. I tried to reach him and hadn't gotten a reply. I have offered many different solutions to solve this problem but again no reply. We are not trying to be difficult but for $6,000 we expected a driveway to look good and last a long time.
Mcnallyasphalt has been in contact with joe done work in his community for several of his neighbors on reflective how good his work looks so this is very shocking but yes I disagreed with putting a patch him but Joe demand to have a driveway saw cut and patch so when that made him unhappy as I advised him it would I had come back and do a free seal coat because he would not stop complaining about what he wanted done to his driveway trying to be very accommodating but he is a untruthful missed leading unsatisfiable customer Sorry to say after three attempts of going out to the driveway mcnallyasphalt has done all they will do for Joe
Before you compare estimates, remember to ask all the companies how thick they will lay the asphalt, and how thick it will be after the rolling, will they do some light grading, will they leave the driveway so that water drains properly. Also ask if they will use "virgin asphalt", or partially recycled (the former lasts longer).
Fantastic company to work with! Very down to earth!
