My first impression was "it's incredible I can get someone so quickly to show up at our house". Gary arrived and was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He confidently evaluated our garage door situation and provided exact fees to complete the service. He worked quickly and explained everything to me in terms I could understand. Overall, the experience was super positive and our problems were solved. I have a good deal of experience working with contractors; Gary and Metro Door exceeded my expectations. What a great contractor! I contacted them to replace the malfunctioning garage door opener in one of two garage bays at my home. On arrival, Gary conducted a thorough examination of both garage doors. He told me that I could replace the bad door opener, but that my existing unit could be repaired with a circuit board for about 1/3 the price, and that there were significant problems with the installation of both doors, mostly related to the previous installers use of light duty hardware components and rollers that were not meant for use on my heavy solid wooden doors. He also showed me that the spring tension was not properly set such that the door had a strong tendency to fall to the floor when free instead of being balanced and easy for the opener to raise. I opted to have the opener repaired and for both doors to be fully serviced. After the service was completed, both doors now open incredibly smoothly and quietly and I saved about $500 that I would have spent in addition to the service to replace the opener. Gary worked quickly, smoothly, and effectively to make these repairs with a mind toward best results for least money. I was impressed with their concern for my wallet and with Gary's friendly manner and expert advice. Highly recommended!

I appreciated that not only was the work done quickly and promptly, but we were given a lot of extra information on what to look out for with our garage door, how often to service it, what light bulbs to use, etc.
