Reviews
Write a ReviewThey started out fine. Contacted them and said they would be out next morning and they were. Tech called gave me an estimate and I approved the work. The charged for an estimate $125 and their pricing was extremely high but I was selling the property and in a hurry to I accepted. The tech said he had to go get some parts and would be back to do the job. I am not in Oklahoma, but in California so I could not be there and I wa trusting them to do the work in a vacant house A few hours later I get a call from their office. It was the first guy I had spoken to and scheduled the estimtate. He started hemming and hawing and wanted me to pay up front because he had bad experiences without of town customers. I have 33 properties in Oklahoma and have been in the area for 3 years. I have established professional relationships with many vendors there who have never asked for advanced payment. Precision Overhead Doors, Climate Control to name two. I suggested they contact them if they needed references. No. He couldn't do that. He couldn't trust me. Well, I was suppose to pay this guy to do a job in advance when I was in California? Why should I trust someone you waits until after they go out to the property and accept the job and then calls and wants to be paid in advance? Well, he decided he wouldn't do the work. So I called someone else. Few hours later I get a bill and a request to review the company. So I thought the guy had a change of heart and had the work done. So I mailed him a check. A few days later, I get a call from this totally unprofessional guy and he says he got this check. I said I paid for doing the work. He hadn't done the work. So Finally he sent the guy out to do the work and he went ahead and cashed the check. I don't really know the quality of work, but......... what a big waste of my time. The tech seemed like a good guy, but the company is run by an unprofessional flake. The more he talked the more insulted and frustrated I became. He should learn to keep his mouth shut and let his tech do the jobs.
I am very sorry for any misunderstanding. We do have a policy that new out of state customers pay in advance when they don't have a representative here in Oklahoma. When it became obvious the customer was insulted, I suggested we not do the job, and she said that was fine and she had another plumber coming. I thought that was the end of it until I received the check. I immediately contacted her and sent a technician to complete the job. I am sorry, but I don't think policies that prevent the company from being scammed are unprofessional.
Western Plumbing was very responsive in an urgent situation.
