Write a ReviewGreat service at fair $
STAY AWAY from this company! I hired them to do yearly maintenance on my oil furnace. The service guy handed me the oil filter and told me to put it in after my tank was filled...I had a 1/4 tank of oil at that time. He said it is simple to do and so after the oil was delivered and per the serviceman's instruction, I put the oil filter in. The TECH DID NOT TELL ME THAT THE LINES HAD TO BE BLED to get the air out from replacing the oil filter or the furnace would shut down! Well, my furnace did shut down! NO HEAT and no furnace in cold winter weather! I am not a furnace tech and I knew nothing about how to work on a furnace! I am a single mom with a special needs child who was critically ill and no furnace! I called the company and pleaded with them to make this right. I was told they would charge me for a service trip charge of $89 plus parts and labor to come back out. They were VERY ignorant, hostile, unprofessional, and told me they have attorneys! I had no choice, but to spend more money to have a local company come out to bleed/purge the lines and that company told me it was all because an oil furnace always needs to be bled to get air out of the lines after the filter change. I WILL SEE THEM IN COURT if they do not refund the fees I incurred because of their serviceman not doing what I paid him to do. I emailed them and forwarded the fees along with what the other company had to do...bleed the line. I am NOT a person to sue, but know how sick my child was and how uncompassionate/rude/money hungry this place was.Believe me, it is worth my time to take them to the magistrate. Oh,1 more thing, it was after hours and the tech informed me, the company is not going to pay "OVERTIME" to get my furnace going.
Hello Judy, We are so sorry you had a negative experience with the previous company. McVay took over the previous company in 2022. We go above and beyond for our customers to provide 5-star service especially when our customers are in a situation to what you described! We hope that you will allow McVay an opportunity to earn your business back!
Great Customer service and pricing. On time and honest with repair costs.
Very professional and knowledgeable. Fixed the problem with the air conditioner quickly and showed me the technical issues and ways to avoid repeat problem. Fixed in easiest, least expensive way and provided maintenance information
very professional
They fixed the problem quickly. They mentioned the leakage comes from the oldness, but the unit is not old yet. If they do not say this, it is better, it looks like that they excuse for the case the unit will stop again....
They actually called me! I was looking at a few different companies since our furnace stopped working. I had called the other two and no one could come for a few days. Then the phone rang and it was Arendosh. They were able to come that afternoon - and they saved us from a potentially dangerous situation with our furnace. They were prompt, professional, nice and reliable. They came back a few days later to install our new furnace and we are VERY pleased with the results. We would hire them for anything we need and HIGHLY recommend them.
We called them to come look at our furnaces at our office. We decided to give them a try since their office is on the same road. They sent a young man that clearly had no knowledge of what he was looking at or doing, and most of the time stood outside trying to google things on his phone. After an hour he came in and said that he couldn't even give us an estimate, on what our furnaces needed. He was going to have to go back and get another guy and it would take two people too be able to even get a look at the units. We've had other companies work on them in the past and they never once made that claim. The young man was told that it was ridiculous and they should send us a quote on what it would take to give us an estimate. We never heard from them again. We were made to pay $90 for the service call that accomplished nothing. We hired another company to come out and for $60 and twenty minutes they were able to tell us everything the furnaces needed for winter with one guy. Arendosh obviously hires young kids that should not be going to commercial buildings and charging people when they are incapable of doing that kind of work and assessing the needs of the units.
Punctual, professional service from initial consultation/estimate to final cleanup. The sales manager took time to explain every aspect of the project, including financing options, and provided a very reasonable price quote. The installation crew were fantastic. My old Pittsburgh home was not designed with central A/C in mind, and the walls provided a tough resistance to re-wiring. The installation crew patiently and cleanly made the necessary retrofits to my home to allow a new thermostat to be wired. There was some leftover debris and a hole in my plaster due to the endeavor, but they did the best they could to clean it up given the circumstances. My exterior wall was patched beautifully -- aside from the color change you'd never know the house didn't originally have the A/C wiring and tubing built in. My basement was actually cleaner than when they first arrived. All in all, great customer service, top notch work, and very reasonable prices.
Do not use these guys. I was having issues with a/c not coming on. They did come same day, which was nice, however, first he thought it was a piece in the unit outside that makes it click on. So he replaced, but left the plate that covers all the Electrical wiring laying on the ground (lazy) secondly he thought it was something inside the furnace area. I don't remember what he called it. After four hours and a bunch of tinkering around he found out it was a wire that had been cut. Mind you no problems with heat. Now my furnace doesn't turn on and he had to leave because he took so long. Angry!
