Love the outcome, just had issues working with some of the project through customer service. The painters took a 4 hour lunch instead of 1 hour like we were told. Communication was our biggest issue.

Donâ t trust the estimator, he told us 2 coats of beige would cover our grey walls. We believed him. HA!! Big mistake. Our walls are just 2 shades lighter grey and we are out $769!!! 𠤬. The project manager said they could put another coat of a lighter color but weâ d have to pay for it, didnâ t care at all that I was extremely unhappy
Response from Company:
Marcia, We are sorry you are not pleased with the results of your project. I have reviewed your project with my Project Manager, Estimator, as well as my Scheduler. From what I have gathered, we applied 2 coats of paint of the color you chose. We did not have coverage issues. We showed up when we said we would and produced professional results. We fulfilled our end of the contract. It was simply a fact that you were not pleased with the color. The only way to correct that would be to apply a different color. To do so, we would incur additional labor expenses as well as additional material expenses. It's unfortunate that you were not happy, but I don't see why we would incur the additional expenses on our end and still charge the same amount of money. Sorry. If there is anything else we can do for you, please reach out to our office. Thank you.

Michael (owner) is a true pleasure to work with. He is honest, fair, and punctual. It was a great experience working with 5-star and we could not be happier with the results. It was everything he assured us it would be. The work is very high quality. The house looks amazing.

Very professional and courteous. Top quality work, very satisfied with the performance and work. There was an issue with timing and a couple appointments were missed without notification. Over all excellent work.

Response from Company:
Craig, I appreciate you taking time to provide a review. I have discussed with my team regarding your project. I apologize if you felt that there was a lack of communication, value, and/or quality. After reviewing our files, the day after your order was placed you received a welcome email from our scheduler discussing timeline as well as her direct contact information if you had any other needs. You acknowledged this email with a "Thank You." We sent our crew out in the timeline promised and completed a quality job that you had no issues with and were satisfied with the final results (per your walk around with Kip). Once the project concluded, we charged you exactly what we quoted to complete the work. If I can assist any further, please don't hesitate to reach out and we can discuss. Michael - 478-733-9906.

Professional, courteous and competent. The crew did top notch work and in a timely manner. Very pleased with the paint removal from our concrete patio floor and the sealing they did to finish it. They also cleaned and painted the deck around our pool.
Response from Company:
Ken, Thank you for your business! I am glad you are pleased with your experience and the results.

Our deck was in excellent condition structurally, but in need of a redo of the stain and protective coating. We made a huge mistake in hiring Five Star Painting to do the job. The owner/manager outlined the job (1) Apply stripper (2) Power wash (3) Apply new stain/sealer. The first three appointments were a no-show. No one came, and no phone call with an explanation. It gets worse. Finally, a two person crew arrived to apply the stripper. The two workers acted surprised that the chemical was not dissolving the old coating, but instead was creating a curdled mess. In addition they applied the chemical to an external door knob, metal door threshold, and two rain gutter downspouts with resulting permanent damage. After a failed attempt to pressure wash the curdled stain and stripper from the deck they expressed their frustration packed up their equipment and left. A second crew, of one, was sent the next day to apply a different chemical, and then power wash with a much more powerful pressure washer. The employee caused considerable damage to the deck boards and supporting timbers with a very forceful power washing (and a too strong chemical ??). The project manager made light of the damage and wanted to send a sanding crew to repair the damage and prepare the deck for staining. At this point we declined to allow any more of this company's incompetent employees to work on our deck. They were obviously poorly trained, if trained at all. The second crew also left our carport flooded with a few inches of standing water after completing the damaging pressure washing, he then went off and left it for us to clean up. The owner/manager called and urged us to continue the project, and when we declined he became very rude and angry. The damage to our deck has been confirmed by two companies that build/stain decks. One stated it angered him to see the damage Five Star Painting did to our deck. While we are the ones that gave the cease and desist order, we are appalled at the lack of follow-up, either apologetically or financially from this unreliable and incompetent company. A regrettable choice that maybe others can learn from.
Response from Company:
Donald, We respectfully disagree with your assessment of the project. We were very clear about our process and what was necessary to remove the varnish that was applied to your deck. The process to finish the deck was to strip, sand, then stain. The boards were not damaged, they were in progress of being restored. We were not compensated for the work we completed and not pleased that you were disrespectful to our crews because of the color of their skin. I would imagine anyone in my position would become a bit angry regarding your actions. We are disappointed in the lack of follow up from you as the customer either apologetically or financially.
