Reviews
Write a ReviewVery knowledgable, on time and professional.
Kept me advised of timing and appeared when stated. Sized up the work quickly and it was completed quickly. Was clean and courteous. CouldnÂ’t ask for more.
Gold Medal responded quickly, and scheduled me right away. Eric Gumbrecht did the job.He explained what he was doing, and he did a thorough, professional job.
!
I may be unfair in my evaluation, I have had little to do with electricians in the past. For our rental property, we needed a variety of work done, from gfi's to upgrading outlets, fixtures, and rewiring. I came to close to $15,000. AFTER the discount for joining their discount program. Were time not of the essence, would have gotten more bids.
Top notch
First contact and appointment went ok, other than customer service told me they would come with the additional door bell that we wsanted installed. That did not happen. The technician evaluated the job and while it was a very high price, we hired them to get the job done. The appointment was scheduled for the next week and about 1/2 hour before they were do arrive, they cancelled on us and said could not get a helper as it was a 2 man job Work was rescheduled for the next Friday for 9 AM - at 8:40 AM tech called and said they were on their way and would be at hour house in "about an hour" I said that means you will be almost an hour late for an appointment you already missed and he said "they were running late" we were the 1st appointment in the AM so how could they be running late other than not getting to work on time? They finally got to the house and did the work - that went well and the cleanup was good. I told the tech in charge that I did not appreciate the "helper" eating his breakfast as he was standing on the tarp they laid down and working while he was eating. I offered him water which he declined. Lastly the license that is on the HomeAdvior website is expired if you check same with NJ Consumer Agency that is required for all electrical work. I called the company BEFORE the job was started and they never got back; same as for copy of insurance cert. I called again the day the workers were here and they have another license under Gold Medal LLC which is what they use and they emailed me the insurance cert so that was resolved. They did not know one license expired and one was inactive and I scanned and email to their customer service department. Bottom line, work was done well and cleanly. However, be prepared not to get the job done 1st visit and do not expect appointments to be honored as scheduled. Work was about 1 hour and we paid just under $700 for parts (2 door bell chimes) and labor.
This company is very dependable and trustworthy. They came at a time of crisis and explained everything they were doing in great detail.
nothing
Did not know that the first visit was to estimate the time and cost of the repair. I would not have taken a day off. He came back the next day and did an excellent job.
