Reviews
Write a Reviewfirst time hired a ?pro? to fix soem outlets that were ?neutral open? and i can say this is the last time i?d use mister sparky. it started out fine, they said estimate was free, a guy named travis showed up, very nice, and professional. he asked me to sign permission to work in the house blah blah with a fee of $35 (or $55 sth like that) which would be waived with repair. he tried to diagnose the problem for almost 2 hrs, and came to conclusion that i needed 2 new outlets on a new circuit since the open neutral couldn?t be located. cool, but guess for how much? $1200! i asked for the copy of estimate and explained that since it?s over my allowance from the home warranty, i needed to get their approval. travis gave me estimate, added that i might need new panel, new surge protection soon which is $6000-7000, typical sale man but whatever. told him i wanna get the outlets fix first. then his whole attitude changed. he typed up sth in his ipad then told of now i owe $350?? i was like for what?? he was like ?it?s for the 2 hours i diagnosed your outlets?. huh??? ?and you signed for it? - he said. i would have never signed such a thing since home warranty didn?t even give me half of that amount for a diagnosis, so i read and listened to what he said at the beginning very carefully, the diagnosis fee was $35.95 or $54.95 max, there was 4 digits on what i signed, definitely no $350 and change, so i asked to see the document i signed; then he was like ?it?s gone i can?t pull it back put now? ??? i told him if i signed for it i will honor it but i need to see it also need the copy so i can send to my home warranty, if i don?t see what i signed for i won?t pay so show me. then he was like ?never mind then. it?s gone. i don?t have it? then he stomped out and said ?i worked for free today?. boy?? i said i?d pay if he had show me what i signed for; and dont his employer pay him hourly too?? so i called their customer service, to confirm if estimate is indeed free, which they confirmed, and i told them the story, the lady was like that was weird and said a branch manager was gonna call me. THEN that travis guy called me back right after! saying that oh it been bother me that couldn?t fix your problem l, what if i come back out tmr and fix everything for $350 (??) it was beyond sketchy at this point so i declined his offer. you thought you hired ?pro? then it?d be professional but this experience is worse than anyone i ever hired from craigslist. and $1200 to replace 2 regular walk outlets??? i had a brand new electric box installed with no prior wire or nothing for my new ceiling fan and that was for $245. replace 2 outlets with existing holes and wires for $1200?? nah. i?ll stick to craigslist or facebook from now on.
