We had the professional out to do some work that could not be completed because of missing equipment, although we paid them for the full job. We eventually found the equipment and have been trying for the past week to contact them, but they have not responded to our calls.
Response from Company:
We charged you for our time looking for your valves which we used a locator to find them. You were only charged for the time spent, we also told you that you had 2 other missing valves but that the wires were cut going to them so we would be unable to locate them exactly. We advised you to contact the company that put the system in to see if they remembered where all of the valves were. You told us they were out of business and never provided you with a design or pipe layout, but they were the cheapest and that's why you went with them. We understand your frustration, however we are not at fault for the poor job that was done.

I paid Pro Lawn a good amount in a timely manner for a cleanup project. I was disappointed when they missed the spring growth window for spraying briar roots. Now all the briars they cleared will grow back rapidly atop my septic drain field. Pro Lawn proved difficult to reach and has yet to finish the clean up work. After all this, they pressured us via email to send them the final retention payment. We feel cheated.

Greetings James, we cleared your septic field in February and also included the side of the house for free. In your attempt to save money when we were done clearing you declined spraying the blackberry bushes. You then came to check on your house 8 months later and accused us of new growth which we sprayed for you for free at that time when you started to threaten us, must have forgot that though. Also we didn't charge you until the job was done either, never once did we ask for payment prior to completed work. Here is the email response as well regarding the spraying and upkeep: Ezra, We'd like to start by clearing above the drain field and any brush northward [toward the house] to the wire fence. The drain field is in the back yard. See attached. As for the additional work, we'll hold off until a later date. And I haven't heard back from the tenant regarding access to the property but I'll call you as soon as I get the ok. Please standby - I don't anticipate any problems. Jim
