The experience started out rocky, due to lack of communication between customer and service provider. I was given an appointment of 1pm and was not called when the service provider was unable to make the scheduled time. I believe customers would prefer to be told that the contractor is running late, our time is valuable too. I called at approximately 1:15 to ensure we were on the same page. I was told that the tech was having an issue at a job, perfectly understandable, and would be approximately 1 hour. A courtesy call would have gone a long way at that point. At 2:50, as I was contemplating cancelling the deal, the tech showed up, was extremely professional, and obviously good at his job, which he completed in about 20 minutes. Quality job, but customer attention could use some work!

Arrived in the time window stated. I told him what was going on. He found the problem immediately, a frayed cable and worn out drum. He gave a price for just what had to be done now. Then I asked how many years do I have left on the remaining components and he said about 2 years. Since my door itself was in very good condition. I decided to replace all the components (cables, drums, and springs) at this time, because I didn't feel like dealing with it in 2 yrs. Now the door opens like a new door; and hopefully I will get 5-10 years worry free of repairs. Very knowledgeable and professional.
