Reviews
Write a ReviewCame in to give us a quote and did the work the same day. Finished project looks great.
I had a variety of renovations that needed to be done. I felt that Mr. Handyman was pricey, but was told that it was because the company does quality work. Mr. Handyman replaced a bathtub with a walk-in shower in the hall bathroom for my father-in-law, who is handicap. It was pricey, but worth it because it ended up being gorgeous! So I had Mr. Handyman install drywall into the upstairs bonus room. Mr. Handyman outsourced the work. It was horrific! The holes for the outlets ended up being larger than the outlet covers. How can a drywall company make a mistake like that? Mr. Handyman did give me a discount for the issue, but I would rather have had the drywall done correctly. At roughly the same time, Mr. Handyman installed the kitchen countertop backsplash. The person who installed it was not doing it correctly and had shut off the electricity to the refrigerator without telling me. I had to correct him when he was installing the tile. In the end, the backsplash came out looking beautiful excepted for a tiny section next to one of the outlets in which one of the tile pieces broke. The tile that I bought was fragile, so it was not that big of a deal, but the person really should have redone that tile. I also got sick from food that had spoiled due to the refrigerator being off for so long. Mr. Handyman gave me a discount for my getting sick. I did not mention the broken piece of tile because I had already decided not to continue hiring Mr. Handyman by that time. In summary, if it were not for the dry wall, I would hire Mr. Handyman again to install a walk-in shower for the master bathroom. However, I would never hire Mr. Handyman to install drywall. 0.5 stars for the drywall, 5 stars for the walk-in shower, and 3 1/2 stars for the kitchen backsplash. This was back in the fall of 2019. The customer service was good so I felt bad about not giving a good review, but then when I saw that someone else also did not have the drywall installed correctly, I felt that I should say something.
Prompt, efficient and got the job done right.
Not recommended for dry wall repair. Save yourself some money and time and hire a drywall contractor. Mr. Handyman quotes over the phone and quoted a 3-4 day job as 1 day so of course their techs couldn?t finish and they couldn?t schedule me for three more weeks when I?m trying to list my house. The drywall folks I had finish the job had to redo most of what Mr. Handyman did.
BECKY DID A GRATE JOB IN PLASTING THE WALL AND THEN SKIP TRIAL A PATTERN. TURN OUT GREAT..... IT WAS TO COVER UP THE ART WORK THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD DID ALL OVER THE WALLS...
I recommend them. As a matter of fact, I have already sang their praises to other.
Nothing
They arrived on time and communicated with us about what they were doing. They respected that it was important to me that they wear their masks while we were speaking (I also wore mine). They did great work and finished earlier than expected - we had a whole list of mostly small projects that they took care of. The only downside is that they mentioned noticing something else that needed repair and offered to quote it for us, but forgot by the end of the day and I never did get the quote. I'll probably schedule another appointment for that eventually, though, since they did such a good job.
They did not fix the leak in rood and did not warranty their work.
