Tom and his guys did a tremendous job. They hand rolled 2 coats over the entire house and did it for less than anyone else. There were times, however, when I felt like I had to be more detail oriented than the painters.. But it could have also been that I didn't give them enough time to finish the details themselves. There were several spots where they did not cover things they painted above and paint was splattered. But I should be able to clean those.

Tom did a great job. The finished work looks great. He went above and beyond by moving all the furniture of the deck and replacing it when the work was coppleted. They had the best pricing out of the 4 companies.

When evaluating contractors to stain our fence, we decided to choose A-1 because they offered the best warranty (5 years). First, the good: our fence looks AMAZING now! Now, the not so good:: - They sprayed the top of the fence and in doing so, sprayed our neighbors grill (fortunately, it was just the cover, which is now the same shade of tan as our fence) - They broke our hose nozzle and didn't say anything about it. When we confronted them, they did promptly replace the nozzle - It's been 3 weeks since we had the service done and we still haven't seen the 5 year warranty in writing, despite numerous promises that it was on the way.

Tom did a real fine job for me. It was done in a timely manor and his work was very good and not over priced.

He was working alone on this project and appeared to be in over his head. The work was average to poor and the final result was not very good. He was asked to match new dry wall work to existing texture. After the job was finished, the joints between the new and old are very obvious. If I was to hire him again I would want to be present at all times and watch everything he does. His bid was much lower than the others, and now I know why. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for. Most often, low bid = low quality.
