It took about 10 min to install fixture. I was charged $140.

The job required a simple replacing of 2 wires located in the outside box and reattaching the wire housing to the outside of the house. The job took 2 ½ hours. The original quote was $991.00. I told the service rep he could pack up equipment and leave. He came back with a quote of $662.28. That is approx. $127.00 /hr. From everyone I talked and shown the pics to the job should not have cost more than $225.00 (worst case). The only reason I agreed to the gouging price was because the tenant has children, some are toddlers. I will never do business with Light-em-Up Electric again. Hire them at your own risk.

We tried to be as accommodating as possible to repair your home, we responded to your call as quickly as we could, and the job was more difficult than replacing 2 wires and restoring service back to the house. The entire service mast had to be rebuilt, and reattached to the home. This takes a little bit of time, especially to ensure the problem is repaired properly. We appreciate you choosing our service, for the safety of the home. We were able to restore the service to a standard that meets electrical code, and provide safety for your tenants. As far as the reduction in price, our technician wanted to make certain the problem was resolved, so he reduced the price as much as possible by going below cost on some items. Even prior to the discount offered, our price was approximately half of the national average for such a job. No price gouging took place.
