Work originally planned for 4, maybe 5 days. No weather problems, but today is sixth day and no end in sight. More serious concern is that the crew chief is not providing straight answers. For example, today he arrived at 9 AM with 3 others, told me he needed to go to another site but would be back between 10 and 11. He left 1 worker here and took 2 with him. Also, he said that 2 other workers would arrive separately. It's now after 2 PM and only the 1 worker is here. Obviously, the job will not be completed today, again. In summary, the work appears to be well done, but lack of timeliness and honesty are major weaknesses.
The job was done in a very timely manner. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Quality cannot be judged until the next downpour. However, it is unclear whether the price-quality ratio corresponds to industry standards. A one-hour two-person job of applying concrete was billed at $650. This is five times the hourly wage that a Ph.D. economist earns in a financial institution. It appears to be rather a high price for the job. While the timeliness of the work is exemplary, it may be advisable to collect several price estimates from other companies than JES in addition.
Good work but very bad at returning phone calls, keeping me abreast of progress and completion date. Job taking longer than estimated and projected!
Our job turned out to be much more difficult that originally expected. The guys from JES were wonderful and handled everything very well. These guys worked HARD!! Quite pleased with the installation.
One Word: Professional.
The fact that they met me at a time that was convenient to me was great. No pressure and the tech who came out to do the inspection answered all my questions. I thought it a tad bit expensive for the wall anchors, but overall they did a great job. On time and completed the work on schedule. They have a 4-6 week time frame before starting a job, so keep this in mind when planning the work.
