Write a ReviewBe prepared for extra time and materials in the event that unexpected damage is discovered. Very professional job! Parts of the existing floor needed repair and installation of more hardwood. Moses is a master, attended to every detail for excellent results. It is often necessary to repair and/or paint trim after refinishing is completed, in order to do the entire project correctly. Very pleased with the results.
You are only as good as you team...his team is awesome. They all know what they are doing and are knowledgeable & courteous.
It's great to see another satisfied customer and we hope to be doing business with your or friends of yours in the future.
I was misinformed regarding the amount of dust and follow up work that would be needed, such as repainting the baseboards due to all the stain that was on them. Was told that the amount of dust would be minimal, however it was not and the entire house needed to be cleaned. Was told it would be a two day job but turned out to be three because of juggling of different jobs by the contracted flooring people. The person that did the job was not John from johns hardwood flooring. Never saw him after the initial estimate. I was led to believe that is who I would be hiring not some secondary people!
I said there would be dust I told you its not in my advertising ( Dustless Machinery ) I siad we will blow the place down but you will have to clean up We have to get the edge of the room with the machinery and the stain will get around the perimeter If we were to put 3M blue tape the stain will seep thrugh and adhere the tape to the wall And yes i did say 2 day job befor the surprise of another room being added I also let everone know if i am not there Moses will be and he's ben with me for 23 years Keep in mind that there are no comments about a bad job . ( We were awarded BEST OF HomeAdvisor for 2015 ) There must be a reason

Awful job. The poly is already chipping up I'm basically down to bare wood and the job was done a month ago. The job was rushed and poorly done.
Right after we got done with the job two days later you had plumbers gut out entire bathroom. It is not our fault that they scratched up your flooring. it is also not our fault that the customer does things backwards.
Very professional and kept you aware of any issues.
The good: The price is great. And they really sanded deep, brightening up the natural finish more then I expected. The bad: When John came to give an estimate, I feel he over promised how nicely they would fill the gaps in the wood flooring because when the guys came to do the work, they said "No you don't want to wood fill that, it'll just come up and you'll have to redo it." The ugly: They got polyurethane all over my white baseboards, which are now part yellow. My advice would be to see if you can get them to mask it.
When I go in for the Free Home Estimates I always explain in full about the wood filler. I give the customer the option with this explanation. Wood flooring expands and contracts in the winter and summer months, therefore in time this wood filler dries up and will pop out. And I also explain that the moldings will have to be touched up due to the fact that our machines come up close to them. We use 3m painters tape top quality but if we put that on the moldings when we poly it will seep through and seal the tape to the molding and won't come off.
Job well done!
