Reviews
Write a ReviewMiguel was very responsive to my many pool issues. My pool pump went out & he was there within a day. He also keeps costs very reasonable. This is the 3rd time I've used Miguel.
the plaster job was more inconsistent in color and texture than others I have seen.
Miguel and his team have been fabulous! Services include: repairing our waterfall, removal of old tile and installing new tile, replastering our pool surface, removal of old mastic and install of new. Customer service is extraordinary; easy to communicate with Miguel via text message or by phone too. I am so thankful for Miguel and his team. Our "new" pool looks so beautiful! And our kiddos love it! My toddler exclaimed, thank you for my new pool, I love it ;-) My son L.O.V.E.S. swimming... he is very excited about "his new pool" and is super excited to invite his friends over this summer :-)
There is no messing around...workers are here almost daily! Still have the plaster left to do. But I can say I have been very happy! This is my 4th pool and first remodel. Its only been 3 weeks so far. I really like Miguel and he listens to what you want and does not try to change what you want like many of the other pool companies I delt with.
Miguel was very knowledgable and worked with us on several issues
We selected Francy's because they offered a 10-year warranty and Miguel eventually stood by it because we had to address a couple of major issues after work was completed. Our project began mid-October 2014 and was finally finished mid-February 2016. The project began with a demo of the existing plaster and this is a job that owner Miguel and crew did and it was done right. We had every reason to believe that we would be getting a first-rate job. The job ended with Miguel and crew replacing all the coping around the pool and it was also done right. Yet just about everything in between left much to be desired and the supervision of sub-contractors was very loose. At one point I was advised by Leo, our contractor, that we "just had to trust" the sub-contractors to do their jobs appropriately. Not as far as I'm concerned! What are contractors getting paid for? To his credit, when Miguel witnessed the unacceptable workmanship he did not balk at agreeing to make it right. Because of this, we are offering our recommendation. I would advise anyone considering this company or any other company to make your expectations known about how you want your project to be supervised and how you will be consulted and involved before a job is approved and sub-contractors are released. While certainly not true of all sub-contractors, there are far too many out there who are only interested in how quickly they can get in and out and still get paid. While we experienced frustration and some disrespect of our property during the process, we are thankful that Miguel is a man of his word and finally made things right. I instinctively trusted him and I was happy to discover that this faith had not been misplaced. As for the final result, we can only say that it is acceptable - not great, and not what we expected. It is probably unrealistic to expect everything to turn out perfectly and I have little doubt that we were viewed as "nit-pickers" and high-maintenance customers. However, we had to empty our pool twice at our own expense to address plaster issues, had to pay another electrician out of pocket to fix problems, have to live with wavy steps and crooked toe tiles, had to put in hours of brushing ourselves to fix problems with the plaster, have to live with "etched" plaster which will likely age prematurely caused by not one but two acid washes, had to pay out-of-pocket for unwanted material upgrades because of supply issues, etc. etc. Any way you look at it, your pool remodel is going to be expensive and as the pool owner it is you, not the contractor, who will have to live with the results and who will have to appropriate the cash. Consequently, you have not only the right, but the duty to ensure that your money is being spent appropriately and that you are getting what you paid for. Rather than hiring different companies to do different aspects of the job, we decided to go with Francy's to do it all. We thought that by doing so,
Will not stand behind the work they perform and you never know what days they will show up to work after they get started with the remodel.
Very responsive to my questions and they explained each step of the process.
They are just awesome!
Miguel is very helpful with a positive can do attitude. Miguel was on the job site only about half the time. His workers sometimes lacked attention to detail which required input from me to correct several small issues as the project progressed. The concrete crew didn't protect anything surrounding the pool decking, therefore plants, landscape lights and landscape rocks all got covered with concrete. This could have easily been prevented with plastic covering prior to pouring the concrete. Overall the pool remodel turned out very well and I am happy with the final product.
