Write a ReviewTo begin this review - The company, DaBella, took immediate action in follow up response for our consultation request. Thank you for not keeping us waiting! We live out on the coast and it usually takes several weeks to months for a response with an actual consult. At this time we have worked with Bryce Bowers and Dukens Surkin. The two gentlemen came and went through the entire process of re-roofing our home. They took their time and explained all the materials used in the project, completely down to the type of nails used! We were very impressed with the presentation. We already had previous consultations with other roofing companies. However, Bryce and Duken were by far the most thorough in explanation and answering our questions. We have decided to purchase our new roof from DaBella. Thank you gentlemen for your time and enthusiasm. We will be updating the review following the roof installation.
Jennifer Henry came out and inspected my siding. Then we sat down and discussed the inspection results. She pointed out a couple of things I had wrong then gave me a price. She also said that my siding looks in good shape and doesn't need to be replaced.
I have two contrasting opinions of my Da Bella experience, through the salesman who sold us the project, of course to hear from him, this co, has no equal. By the signing of the contract, and what a lengthy contract it is, I came to realize, that Da doesn't want to be held liable for quite a number of situations that will come about in a job of this magnitude, such as the mess that will happen in your attic space and anything that would damage your home due to the contractor who delivers the materials. Call me old school, this leads me to my second opinion, after extensive work in the attic was necessary, leaving quite the mess, after talking to an off-site super visor, about the clean up, well, he stuck to his guns about his liabilities repeating to me how I had signed a waver concerning this matter. Now Jose and his brother Jerry, are different in this matter, I could tell them of my frustrations, and after a hand shake, and their word, on the matter, they not only attended to the matter of clean up, but shown to me how a mans WORD, and his INTEGRITY, are still the bedrock of any business. I think Da Bella's can learn from this two men of integrity, and not be so bound down in their legalities
We contacted DaBella for information through their website, and they called us back within a couple hours, and scheduled an estimator out the next day. Other vendors responded with estimator availability in the weeks, and one vendor made it clear that my house was too small to be worth her time (it's ~1500 sqft, so not exactly tiny, but it's not a huge job). Joel Pickell did the initial consultation with us, which was very thorough and informative. He's also been our named contact throughout the project, and has been very responsive when we had questions. As part of our evaluation process, we looked at other installers including Home Depot, who offered comparable materials at a lower installed price; however, we also found multiple online reviews from customers that found that low-end materials were installed instead of what they had paid for. This included customer reviews posted on their website. In their defense, they've got a huge network of installers, and considering the scale and their focus on price, I imagine some subcontractors feel the squeeze, and a few shady installers trying to make a better profit is probably inevitable. Between reading a few horror stories and talking to (or not hearing from) the handful of estimators that we contacted, we felt like DaBella was more trustworthy and responsive, and used materials that were likely to last in our very rainy climate. Given their demonstrated focus on customer experience and reputation, we inferred that they were probably also monitoring and treating their subcontractors better, which accounted for some of the price difference. The installation itself was very smooth. The crew was polite, fast and efficient. As promised, my yard looked like a bomb went off after the initial tear-off, and was then thoroughly cleaned. The guys were also thoughtful about tarping landscape that was in the splash zone, and not destroying my garden and other plants with heavy debris or foot traffic. The installation itself was completed over the next two days, and the roof looks great. The real test will be how the roof performs over the next couple dozen Portland winters, but I'm very pleased with the process and support to-date, and am glad that I chose to go with DaBella.
As of 7/8/17, I have only recently hired this company, no work has started as of yet. This makes my review based on the initial meeting only. The initial meeting was/IS LONG. I can see the need for this as they are very thorough and want to make the most of the experience. Answering all and any questions seems to be paramount. Of course everyone wants to make the sale, but Mike and Matt were very knowledgeable. They wanted to make sure I had every concern addressed. I'm looking forward to having a great experience with DaBella.
Have most of my windows either replaced or being replaced as well as two French doors. Windows are expensive but wonderful. Could feel a difference with winter and summer. Doors aren't the best. Got some warping on both and, if painted black, scratch easily. Though they have a great warranty, it's a bit of a hassle to get replaced. Their salesman, Jeff W, has been communicative and trying to help me so thus the 5 on customer service
DaBella siding is an exceptional product, I recently purchased vinyl siding . My home looks outstanding and my neighbors continue to compliment the look. The DaBella representative Ian Wheeler made the experience so easy and with no pressure. He is very well versed in all of DaBella products. Everyone I worked with through the process of ordering to the installation were outstanding ! Thank you Ian Wheeler, Mike Goettsch and the fantastic installers Dave Cox and Sterling !
The initial sales appointment was LONG and my bathtub seemed expensive, however I am very pleased with the product.
Asher and Aaron stopped my request to give me an estimate on replacing my large complex roof which was 20 years old I selected their company for their local reviews and excellent customer service.
