    My request was to seal my front gutters. They called said they had to clean them first. Sent the crew to clean the gutters but the crew had no knowledge of the leaks or sealing request. Overpaid for gutters to be cleaned and they still pour into my front porch. I have made multiple attempts to contact the company for them to complete the job they promised, and the job I paid them to do. They have refused to respond except the first request before my check cleared, said they would return. They cashed my check, I should have canceled the check but I mistakenly assumed they would do as they said. I have pictures of my leaking gutter that I just took this evening. I am extremely disappointed in my first attempt at utilizing Home Advisor.

    The rep asked questions about the home (stories, square footage, etc.), gutters, downspouts. She specifically asked if technicians (techs) could climb on the roof. I indicated "no" because the roof is very steep and not safe for walking. I asked the rep (twice) whether they accepted credit cards; she didn't say no but repeated that payment was due immediately after the job was completed. The rep called after the appointment window passed to reschedule. After the rescheduled appointment window also passed, I called the rep. Two techs finally arrived nearly an hour after the 2nd appointment window closed. After the techs completed the job, the main tech asked for the quote. He rejected the quote (almost laughing), and indicated that the lowest price is at least this and could be as higher as (2 or 3 times higher than my quote). I called the rep. She said she didn't know about my roof, even though she had asked before giving me a quote. So, it seemed clear that the rep spoke to the main tech about "charging a higher price" before I called her. She didn't give me a new quote. The main "doubled" the price and also indicated that credit cards were not accepted--cash or check only. The two technicians slapped each other five (handshake) as they walked away with the check. I called the rep to tell her what I paid; she apologized but said she didn't know about my roof. Paying isn't the problem. The problem is that I answered the questions honestly, asked about payment methods upfront, and was quoted a specific price. Then, after the techs completed the work, they apparently spoke with the rep to double the price I paid. Finally, I wasn't given an opportunity to negotiate the price, service, or company because the work was done. Again, I paid because the work was done and the work quality was high (clean up, no debris left behind). I just don't appreciate what appeared to be a bait-and-switch tactic.

      We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
    8. Liens Search
      We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
    9. Identity Verification (SSN)
      HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
    10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
      We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
