We hired them to replace some carpeting with wood flooring. The sales man told us it would take 1 day to complete. It ended up taking almost 4 days. We had been told that the estimate would be good for 30 days, but were then told I had to sign a contract that day to lock in the super sale price.

I love my new carpet and the installers did an excellent job. However, I had discussed the need to have the floors treated for urine stains/smell prior to laying the carpet; our senior dog had been incontinent. The salesman agreed but when the installers were there, they did not know anything about the treatment and it was not part of their work order. I called customer service at Empire twice while the installers were there but no one returned my calls. I am still negotiating with them to come and lift the carpet and treat the sub-floor.

We needed to replace the vinyl in a small bathroom we were remodeling so we hired Empire based on our previous experience with them installing hardwood in our home years before. Since we were replacing the toilet and vanity we removed those the night before install was to take place which left us with one functional bathroom. Got a confirmation call and waited at home on a Tuesday for the work to take place. That afternoon got another call to say it wasn't going to happen and we had to reschedule for the following Friday. So fine, we can deal with one bathroom for a few days. Got another confirmation call Friday morning, then another call around 3 pm to tell us it's not happening.... And because it was a holiday weekend we would have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. At this point my husband starts making calls and secured a discount along with a promise that someone would be out Monday. Finally got the floor done however customer service claimed no record of the discount and would only agree to give us about a quarter of the amount we had been offered by a gentleman that was now nowhere to be found. We do like the flooring and the installer was friendly but we will never use Empire again.
