    We hired Empire to do carpet in the bedrooms, vinyl in the bathrooms and vinyl tile in the kitchen. We needed this all done prior to our daughter's wedding. They did the carpet and vinyl and it is great. However, they canceled on me 3 times over the last month for the vinyl tile because they did not have enough installers. One of the times they did not even call to say they were not coming. I had to call when I didn't hear from them. They called the third time on the day of installation and canceled again. They were scheduled to come this past Monday and did come but they had the wrong tile. My daughter's wedding is next week but they can't get me rescheduled before the wedding even through all of the problems the have caused. We started this process at the end of June and chose them because they could do it quickly. Their customer service has been horrible. No one cares about the bind they have put me in. I will not ever use them again after this frustrating experience. I'm sure others have had the same problem. You would think that the customers who have been put through this would get first priority but they don't even care. We're done with Empire.

    veronica was awesome. she explained all the different types of flooring we could use all the pros and cons. Best way to tell a good company is how your animal react to the people and our cat Cuddles would not leave any of them alone!!!!

    Our experience with this company was anything but professional. 1/2 off deal was so full of "not included", that it was expensive beyond expectations. Lot of hype to get you to verify a date and confirmation of install. Then when the day arrived, it was like the customer doesn't matter. Start time for install says 8:00 am till 6:00 pm. A courtesy call is promised, none given until the third call to customer service. Then it is after 11:00 a:m. Installer arrived much later. Now they want COD for entire project ( in the paperwork ). After a sloppy start, I had to persuade them to accept half up front. Installer was sent with insufficient material and incorrect instructions on scope of work. More deliberating with management level and sales rep as to what was discussed at time of sale. After hours of deliberating the installation started. Installation was the best part of the experience. Sergio did a very professional installation. His helpers tried to skip steps and take shortcuts. When pointed out, Sergio took care of business. A lot of apologizing and explanations were given but the compensation for inconvenience and wasted time was inadequate. $200.00 is laughable, the consumers time and effort is worth more than that. Overall, management is incompetent and lack communication skills. I worked in the construction industry for 35 years, 20 as a superintendent, if my contractors performed this poorly, we would never consider them for future work.

    Contractors did not show up during the given window and did not complete the job as promised. We were forced to take additional time off work and arrange for additional childcare to accommodate their botched timeline. Still attempting to have the issues with damaged flooring, missing transitions, and broken/unlevel base molding caused by contractor fixed. Flooring is currently a safety hazard for my toddler. Customer service has been excruciatingly slow, disdainful, and (so far) completely ineffective. Your money would be better invested in other contractors.

    More installation details prior to actual installation. Carpet was laid over concrete/tile floor...required running of furnace for hours to heat rooms/floors to facilitate installation. Also, used liquid adhesive(?) or chemicals with a vary strong odor which in turn was circulated throughout the house due to the furnace running.
