Empire Today - Seattle

I am pleased with the new vinyl flooring and the installation. There was a small problem during moving my oven to allow installation of flooring (just an accident); however, Empire Today's costomer service personnel quickly agreed to cover the repair costs.

Installer was on time and worked efficiently and answered all the concerns and questions I had.

The rep who came with samples and did the measuring was excellent. The installers were professional and knowledgeable!

I hired Empire to install a vinyl floor in a utility room in a rental home. The installer showed up at the schedule date, only to be freaked out some moisture in the existing flooring. So much, that he was concerned about asbestos. Told him that in my home inspection when I bought the place there was no asbestos. Still, I had to order an asbestos check. The installer told me that it would probably cost an extra $25. Well, it was actually $300 and after everything was okayed, it couldn't get installed for another 10 days. So I lost out on having the place ready to rent on the 1st of June. However, the quality of the install was great.

The rating missed a 5.0 because the estimated 2,500 Sq. Ft was initially estimated to take one day. A crew of three came in (was supposed to be 5), and took 1 1/2 days. These guys were very efficient, and did excellent work. We ordered top of the line quality and expected the same on the install. We were not disappointed. Great work, great service, and the hardest workers I have seen in quite some time for any business.

UNDER THE FLOORING WAS A LITTLE WET, THE SALES-MAN SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT A DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM ON CEMENT FLOOR WILL HAVE SOME WATER VAPOR. HAD TO WAIT FOR 10 DAYS AND IS STILL NOT DONE. TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THIS, SHE COULDN'T HELP. ASK TO TALK TO A HERE BOSS. SINCE THEN THEY HAVE NOT GOTTEN BACK TO ME.

I hired Empire to install engineered hardwood in my bedroom/bathroom. It is not installed as yet, I will call them when my new bathtub is in to set an install date. Tom, the salesman was knowledgeable and friendly, I went with his recommendation on which flooring to get. I am only going with hardwood in both rooms.

Carpet I wanted arrived with installers as ordered, however installers could not install carpeting because it had a pattern that they said would not be able to match the seams. The salesman should've been aware of this and I believe that matching a carpet pattern is much the same as wallpaper. I had to order different carpeting, which was then installed the next day. I have noticed that nails are protruding from the tack strips going up the stairs.

The installers did a great job. They were good with attention to detail. They understood the look and feel we were looking for and were extra careful with our freshly painted walls and our newly remodeled kitchen! They moved the furniture for us and worked on a Saturday to accommodate our schedule. They were great!

Went the extra mile and fixed the floor squeaks during install in bathroom.
