Dominic did fine work, was professional and friendly. The company uses a standard predetermined rate, as many trades now do. Those predetermined rates often are high, in my opinion. I needed a fix fast and Plumbing Today filled that requirement. When the say “today”; they mean it. If you’re a veteran, ask for their 10% discount.

joshua arrived when he said he would, looked at the problem - toilet wax seal, told me what caused the problem and how he would repair it. he also looked in a couple of other places just to make sure water wasn't dripping down the supply line thus creating the impression that it was the wax seal when in fact it might have been elsewhere. he then went out and got his tools and materials needed for the wax seal repair and even changed the bolts which anchor the toilet to the floor. within 30 minutes he was done. he was focused, thorough and very knowledgeable from what i could see. i plan on asking for him when i have my yearly plumbing service performed. i used to perform most of the household repairs myself, but not having the flexibility that i once had and quite frankly the desire, i look for people in the trades that i can trust, know what they're doing and make the repair to my satisfaction.

As their name implies, this company responds immediately. The quality ends there. Our water heater broke and and the company we usually turn to could not fit us in for four days, so we turned to Home Advisor. They recommended Plumbing Today and they came to see us that day. They said we needed a $50 part that had to be special ordered but wanted to charge us $200 for overnight delivery and could not guarantee it would arrive for two business days. My wife got online, found the part and paid $5 to expedite shipping. When it arrived (on the same day that would have cost us 200 bucks) they sent a guy out immediately, he installed the part, left, but still no hot water. They sent a third guy out, (I now had to take the day off work) and he started sealing up the heater (something the second guy did not do) before he even took a look inside, then told me I had bigger problems. $700 to replace the burner. Through this entire experience I was considering replacing the heater with a tankless gas heater. They gave me a price of between $6K -$7K. With more than $300 into the project, I finally called my go-to gas guy. He smirked at the $700 price tag for the burner but laughed out loud when I told him they had bid 7 thousand for the replacement. He will be doing the job for a little over 2 thousand. All of their techs were courteous as the day is long but not one of them seemed to know what they were doing. I had to show all three of them the procedure to re-light the pilot light. I think it is essential that a company working with something like natural gas trains their staff to be familiar with the equipment.

The project was unclogging a toilet. Worker augered it in about 15 minutes and charge $99. It was a reasonable price (going rate in this area). Plumber also tried to interest me in purchasing other products/services (drain cleaner and new toilets for $750 per toilet with installation and warranty) from his company which I declined.
