Reviews
Write a ReviewGreat experience from start to finish. Replacing your HVAC system is a major deal. Chris assessed the situation, gave me his recommendations and was by far the most reasonably priced company that I got a quote from. His team was on time and got the job done without any issues even after they ran into a problem with some of the original wiring due to it's age. They called in another crew to double check the issue, got the additional materials needed and completed the installation. I would definately recommend Chris to anyone needing this type of service. He was great to work with and me made confident that I had chosen the right contractor!
Chris did an amazing job!! Very honest and able to recognize a problem immediately and fix it. Ants in the contactors!!
I liked Mr. Foster. He did a good job and was honest.
Had to replace 18 year old oil furnace and central air. Called Chris and he sent a tech out within a few hours. Chris diagnosed issue and suggested replacement since unit was no longer made. He then came out himself to quote new system. A Lenox package unit was installed in an afternoon and now have a dependable efficient HVAC unit.
Chris showed up on a holiday and got my AC up and going again.
I hired Chris from the HomeAdvisor site. As is the case with most of the other posts, he contacted me promptly on 4/21/2017 and seemed EXTREMELY helpful in the beginning. After a general explanation of my issue, Chris made an appointment for 4/24, which I thought was great. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain that morning, and I told him not to worry about coming, so we rescheduled for the next day. I sent him all of the info on my A/C unit, as well as my parts warranty info. He replied saying that what I sent him should get him what he needed. Chris called me the following morning 4/25, and after further discussion of the issue over the phone, he recommended replacing the thermostat control inside my home, and putting the fan motor on hold. I said OK. His son come out later the same day 4/25, and installed the thermostat. We checked a couple of operations, and he said, "Yep, that was the problem." Keep in mind, to this point no diagnosis of the unit has been done. Eyes were never even laid on the outside unit. His son was here 10 minutes to the tune of $150.00. I assume this was $50 for the thermostat and $100 for the service call, but I will never know, because no receipt or service order was provided...no documentation that they were ever at my house, except for my security cameras. I felt that this $150 price was fair, as I know he is in business for profit, but a receipt should always be provided. I contacted Chris 3 days later 4/28, letting him know I was still having the same issue. Again, he promptly answered my text and said, we will get the motor coming, which was the original part that we put on hold. On 5/2 he texted letting me know that he was experiencing issues with obtaining warranty coverage. It turns out I did give him the wrong name of the supplier, but I looked it up on my lunch break and promptly gave him the correct info. That same day, we had much correspondence back and forth about the parts warranty. This was the last time we spoke verbally on May 2. I was very patient, and did not contact him again until May 8, asking the status of getting the part. He stated he would check, as the supplier was supposed to call him that same day. I said ok and assumed he would get back to me. After no response for an additional week, my last text to Chris was on May 15. I asked once again, about the status of the part, and told him I am still unsure that the motor is the actual issue. It is now May 30, and he has still not responded. I feel like once the job became complicated, he just ducked and ran. I will not hire Chris Foster Heating and Air ever again. I recommend finishing a job, if you start it. By the way, any attempt to dispute the info of this post would be laughable, as it is all 100% pure fact.
He took care of the problem
They did a great job and price was fair
I searched for "emergency service" on Sunday afternoon. This was the only business that showed. He called back quickly, but couldn't come until Monday at 6:00 pm. He worked and the air was cold for 24 hours only.
