Write a ReviewThey messed up my hot water system. When my recirculator is not on, I cannot get hot water to my faucets, no matter how long I run the water. I have called them twice. No response on one call and an unsatisfactory answer on the other.
Tipping Hat plumbing was a very bad experience. Beware.
We had an appointment for the work to be done on a Wednesday & they changed the appointment multiple times. They called on Thursday night & told us that they couldn't make it to our appointment on Friday morning & it would have to be Monday morning. I said that was unacceptable, I had already paid $1100, which was 1/2 of the bill & I could not take another day off work. Also, we would have to cancel our drywalling service that was scheduled for Sunday because the plumbing had to be done first. They called back on Friday morning & said they would send another tech out. The tech showed up at about 2:30. There was supposed to be 2 techs, a master plumber & assistant, because it was a long difficult project & only the assistant with on-the-job training came. The tech was very friendly & seemed to know what he was doing, but it's a gamble when you have someone with little experience, especially when you pay over $2200 for a job. We really liked him though! He worked on our project until 7:30 on a Friday night.
We installed a new kitchen at a Condo we own and hired Tipping Hat to clean the drain, run new pipes, install the garbage disposal and dishwasher. The guy came out to do the work and told my wife that he cannot use the newer disposal we already had because half of the flange assembly was left on the sink when it was thrown away. Instead of using a new assembly, he convinced my wife we had to buy and install a new disposal. He attached the dishwasher drain to the disposal and used a clamp that was too big and didn't seal. Therefore water went everywhere when the dishwasher ran. Additionally, when he installed the new flange assembly, the snap ring was not installed all the way which did not allow the disposal to seal and caused it to leak as well. I called the technician to fix the problems and never heard back. I called the main office and was told their customer service rep was out of the office and would call me back. That didn't happen either. Other than the bad work, they charged $1400 for all of the work which took less than two hours. I would never recommend them to anyone. Stay away!!
A dirty job of replacing hot water pipes in a small and moldy storage space was done promptly and efficiently. The statement of work and cost estimates were explained professionally, and the work was done in an excellent manner by a highly knowledgeable plumber.
Great service, honest, communicated well. Would recommend.
There was no work for him to do, The pilot light lit on the water heater lit up for him the first time he tried to light it, it would not light for us. He was very nice and let us know what to, watch for incase this happens again. He also gave us a few new water heater options for a worse case scenario, which we appreciated. We did not realize all the services they offered.... great service!
Competent, polite and worked quickly. Kitchen sink faucet was leaking and fee to fix was $643 for new faucet and labor to install. A less expensive faucet would have been appropriate but those options were not offered.
On time and professional
Arrived on time, quotes me different than what was quoted on the phone, but that was quickly corrected. Service was neat and clean.
