Reviews
Write a ReviewWithin our price range, quick service, left no mess!! Also identified other serious issues with a second flue we didn't know we had. Grateful for the peace of mind that comes from a thorough inspection.
Tech got annoyed when he could not up sell me. Then I think he did a bad job.
The damper was forced open a little too hard and got it off track and broke a piece inside. . The young man did not even tell us. We had to contact the office and he came back out. Just said he could not fix it and would ask someone he knows. He left and never got back with us. Do not represent a company, break the damper and not tell us, and pretend you know how to clean a fireplace and offer safety inspection when you cannot fix what was broken. If you work on fireplaces, you would know not to force the damper open and cause an issue.
They did excellent work on my wood pellet stove
Great job
A tech that was very nice came to my house to troubleshoot a gas fireplace that would not fully light. On the call I received, I was told that there would be a $149 service charge and if the suspected flame sensor component was faulty, they would have to replace the entire unit and the cost would be about $450. Seemed reasonable to me. After the tech finished troubleshooting, he diagnosed a bad orifice. Sounded accurate to me. Later that evening, I received a message that the repair would cost $795 (on top of the $149 that I already paid for him to diagnose the problem). Knowing a little bit about how gas fireplaces work, I called them back and left a message asking them to explain the charge to me since it seemed high. As of me writing this review, I have not heard back from them. I did my own research and found that an orifice for a gas fireplace runs anywhere from $10 to $12. I rated them high on quality because the tech diagnosed the problem somewhat correctly. After looking at the fireplace myself I realized that he was correct about the orifice being the problem, but an orifice cannot really go bad since it is just a small, restricting hole in a piece of metal, but it can get plugged. Once I cleaned out a spider web from the tube leading to the orifice, the fireplace works as normal. I have no choice but to believe that once they visited my house, they saw an opportunity to significantly overestimate the cost of the repair. It took me 30 minutes to take the components apart, remove the spiders web, and put it all back together. Be cautious if you choose United Home Cleaning Services.
Good morning sir and thank you for your feedback, you did pay for the inspection and we did find an issue you have had for many years that no one could figure out. Unlike your understanding, the inspection fee is deducted from the repairs and we diffidently do not use $10 parts, not to mention our time and warranty, if any issues rise we need to come back and address them (Not doubt DIY is the cheapest way to go)! With that being said I will greatly appreciate it if you call our office to address your complaint in a professional and respectful matter as I do find your review unnecessary and disrespectful, we did our best at your home and feel our technician deserves better then slathering his service!
On time professional

Tech was efficient and knowledgeable. Able to make appointment online.
Mike was quick to respond and very professional. The team arrived on time and did a very efficient job. The quality of the work far outweighed the price. United Home Services will be my go to in the future.
