We were blindsided by a large charge for the service, with no time to research whether it was realistic or overcharging. Afterward, research showed us we were possibly overcharged for the materials and service. The bill showed no breakdown of materials or service charges. The technician had to return to complete the job the next day and was very nice and patient regarding that. We understand these are unusual times, but we had prepared for the service one day and were not told that the technician was running so late he would not make it until we called to find out the status. We rescheduled for 2 days later and were also never advised the technician was running so late it would be after the time parameter given. When we originally scheduled the service, we canceled via a phone message due to second thoughts about having people come into our house. The company came anyway when we scheduled and we sent them away; we felt bad, but really hoped that they understood. As promised, we did call them back but again, feel we were blindsided with the charge.
They were professional and clean. Took care of problem and made sure I was happy with service.

Pros should do a complete assessment and evaluation of the entire chimney from top to bottom. This pro did not climb into the roof to check the top of the chimney. Totally unprofessional.
Hi Roma, we did for you the basic service and the job came out beautiful and professional. I looked at your chimney from the bottom as its very low and saw your chase cover was broken (I have pictures to show you for the chase and cleaning), You dismissed me immediately so I didn't see any necessity to go on the roof as I could see the issue and you seemed uninterested. If you have any issues or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to come again Thank you!
They did the job, I suppose but were not upfront about turning the gas back on. I had to incur another $130 to call a plumber. If I had known they could not turn on the gas, I would not have hired them.
I was not happy about the cost of this work. I was given a price of $145 over the phone for standard cleaning but then was told after the tech got there that chemical deep cleaning was needed. This consisted of spraying a chemical up the chimney for a few minutes and then running the brush for 5-10 minutes down the length of the chimney . A total of maybe an hour was spent on this and the subsequent vacuuming of the firebox area.. In addition the cap was repaired, a job that took about 15 minutes to do. I ended up paying $445 plus $26 tax. Not sure why I was charged so much tax since this cost should have been basically labor (not materials). Considering what was done and the total time invested, including travel time and vehicle costs, I felt this excessive. Also the technician apparently didn't have a chimney camera to check the length of the chimney. He used the camera on his cell phone to provide followup photos that only showed the upper part of the chimney and not the total length. Thus, I remain uncertain about the condition of part of the liner that the photo wasn't able to show. The technician was courteous and did a good job on cleaning from what I could see from the photos that he sent me.
I emailed them this morning and the work has been quickly completed. I love their customer service and expedited services even in the rain.

The technician explained what my issues were, my choices to get them fixed and that he would be able to start the following Monday. It was a job that required a follow-up visit to finish and that was done within a few days.
