After going room to room, inventorying my possessions over the phone twice with the Agility agent, the movers arrived at my home on moving day and went room to room with me looking at my possessions. The conclusion of the moving team was that all my stuff would not fit in the truck they were assigned. I called my local auctioneer and told him I had more items for him to liquidate. I pulled at many large pieces of furniture and felt like i had downsized enough to make it work. When the movers had filled the truck, I was amazed at what was left would not go with me. I again called the auctioneer and he came and filled his truck with the leftovers! Three days later Agility staff called me and asked if I wanted to engage in another contact for a second truck to take my belongings 400+ miles to my new home! Bottom line, I signed a contract for them to take everything listed. I paid for them to rake everything on my list. And almost 50% was left behind! I feel cheated.
Response from Company:
We are very sorry that Brenda is unhappy. We did not know she felt this way until we made our after move call. Had we known she was unhappy; we would have provided additional assistance. The following is the timeline and events; Brenda reserved her move with us on 11/10/21 providing a list of 136 items. After providing Brenda with a price for her move we emailed a quote and the list of items to Brenda for her review and acceptance. On 11/16/21 Brenda and I completed a quality assurance call. The purpose of this call is to review the final inventory and details to ensure we are all prepared for a successful move. During that call, Brenda increased her list by 52 items resulting in a total of 188 items. I emailed Brenda a revised quote with the updated list for which she agreed and accepted. When we arrived at Brenda's home on 11/17/21 our foreman did a walk-through to compare the items on her inventory to the items in her home. During that walk-through Brenda pointed out many items that were not on the list she wanted to have moved. Our foreman advised her that if she wanted to ship the additional items, he would call the office to complete a revised contract. He also informed her that all of the additional items she wanted to move would not all fit on our empty 26 box truck. Prior to beginning any work, my foreman called me to discuss what options we could provide to Brenda to assist her. We provided Brenda with the following options: Renting a storage unit locally to hold the additional items that would not fit on our truck. Those items would be delivered within a 2-week timeframe. Brenda did not accept this option. The second option was to move only what was on the most recent list of 188 items. Brenda also did not accept this option. Our third option which was accepted by Brenda was to give her exclusive use of the entire truck and have us load as many items that Brenda chose until the truck was full. This gave Brenda total control of what was loaded and what was not. Throughout the process of loading Brenda selected which items were to be moved. During this process, Brenda also changed her mind on some items that she chose to be loaded and now determined that she does not want them to be moved and requests that they be taken off the truck. When all items cannot fit on the truck, it can be very overwhelming and stressful for our customers and it is at this point we must be as helpful and understanding as possible, even if that means additional time or work. This process continued until the truck was full. Brenda asked if we could help with loading the extra items onto the Auctioneers truck. We were happy to help, and we did not charge anything for that time. We truly did everything we could to assist Brenda. After the truck was full, there was a total of 266 items on our shipping inventory. A significant amount of more items than what was originally asked of us. We understand this move became very overwhelming for Brenda and we do not believe she realized how many items she was moving. If we had known, we would have arrived with two trucks and this review would not exist. I did call Brenda after reading this and asked if there was anything, I could do to assist her. She told me there was nothing that I could do at this time. I also asked her if she was pleased with our team and Brenda stated the following, the crew worked very hard and did a good job. My hope is that as Brenda reads my response, she understands and feels that we do care, and we did try our best for her.

I selected Agility Van Lines to move our household goods from several storage units in Indiana to a residence in Michigan (300 miles). While Agility was not the cheapest they had the most favorable ratings, least number of complaints, and owned and operated their own trucks with their own employees (which was important to me). Since we were unable to physically verify the inventory in the storage units the Agility price estimate was completed via a listing of items from the previous move. The Agility customer care team gave me several calls before the move just to see if I needed any additional assistance and to confirm the move details. They also called several days before the actual move to let me know of their projected arrival time. Shane and Denise called during and after the move to be sure things were going well. The move team (Isiah, Marcus and Sam) was fantastic. They were some of the hardest working men I have ever met. Each of them was personable, courteous, and professional. I was extremely impressed with their sincere dedication to safely transport our personal belongings. The amount of time and care taken to wrap each item was awesome. The crew worked tirelessly until everything was packed and loaded into the truck. I asked to be informed when they were leaving IN and received a call the next morning with the arrival window as requested. The Agility crew arrived when expected and moved everything into the house with nothing but a few minor issues (mainly due to the large size of certain items and the restrictions of entry areas). The delivery day was executed equally as remarkably as the pickup. I now fully appreciate the quality of work from ‘professional’ movers. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate the effort of Isiah, Marcus and Sam. They made what I was expecting to be another harrowing experience into an almost stress free move. Overall, our expectations were greatly exceeded.

Crew was great. Had some logistical issues due to weather and things I believe were outside the company’s control. They worked with me and compensated me for late days. Very professional company.

Moving is usually a very un-fun process however Agiltiy van lines made it more than bearable. We moved from MA to FL. Agiltiy was very proactive and made sure we were contacted before during and after the move by both the driver and the homebase office. We had Daniel Thomas as the head mover for us and he was extremely professional kind and hard-working. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to move out of state.

Although they required a 2 day window, they never showed on either of the 2 days. They called saying it would be 1-5p on the 2nd day, which was great (that was our original request day). It was a challenge to get everything done a day early for them, but we tirelessly to get as much done as possible. They called back in the afternoon of the 2nd day and said it is closer to 5p and instead of coming back the next day to finish up, they wanted to come on the 3rd day instead. I told them it was not acceptable (I had previously stressed we had to leave and be on the road that day). I asked what time they would be able to get there and was told it depended on what time they left that night - they have to have 10 hrs before they could come back. After getting off the phone, I contacted a local company and they were able to move my belongings on my timetable/schedule. Therefore, I emailed them to let them know I would no longer require their services and requested a refund of my deposit. Although the owner contacted me to see what they could do to make it right, I told him at that point there was nothing they could do since they could not come earlier like we agreed. I did receive my refund promptly and I appreciate their efforts to resolve the issue after the fact, but they need to show up on the accurate day and on time. What a waste of energy on my part.

On 11/6/2021 Jaqueline reserved a short notice move with us for pickup on 11/9/21-11/10/21. We did all we could do to arrive to her by 11/10/21 but unfortunately due to factors outside of our control we were not able to arrive until the morning of 11/11/21. At approximately 9:00pm on 11/10/21 Jaqueline emailed our office requesting a refund. I immediately contacted Jaqueline to see if there was anything more that I could do to assist but she stated that she made alternate arrangements. As Jacqueline mentioned in her post I processed her full refund promptly as requested. We certainly wish this move would have gone differently as we would have loved to have been her mover. We wish Jacqueline the best in Tennessee and if there is anything further that we can do to assist she should not hesitate to contact us.

So glad we picked AVL! They worked with us for a month to coordinate a last-minute move for two out-of-state senior relatives. We worked with Tom initially to establish a move date and they were able to prepare a competitive estimate very quickly. Denise and Shane called/emailed us throughout the process to make sure everything was moving along during our tight window. Josh and Chris did a fabulous job with packing and loading, everything was so well wrapped and padded. They really took the time to make sure everything was secure as it was loaded. They quickly drove to the delivery location and we had them unloading within 24hrs during a holiday week. Amazing! Movers kept in touch via text and phone calls the whole way. Never felt out of the loop about what was happening. Our family members were so pleased and happy with the quality of the work and the whole process. Thank you Agility!

We moved from Maryland to Tennessee in 2021. Our move involved 5 months of storage so we experienced the full range of Agility's service. From the initial intake with John to dealing with Denise and Shane throughout, we could not be more satisfied. This is a highly professional organization. They deliver on what they say. We have a special shout out to Cornelius our driver on both ends and Scott his assistant upon delivery. They were so careful with our belongings and went the extra mile to be sure everything was placed where it needed to go. Great company and great performance.
