Did a great job but in the end, they charged me extra for wood material I felt should have been part of the total estimate, not an extra charge, since they knew this wood would be needed.
Dear Customer, Here at Kennedy Construction your happiness is very important to us. We are glad you love your roof we apologize for any misunderstanding in regard to addition work needed, please understand though we allot for a certain amount of wood in every job, if 1-3 more pieces are needed we try not to both our customer with little things of that nature and just take care of it. However if it is more than that or something that requires the homeowners attention then morally and ethically we need to bring this to you. Wood is an unforeseen item of a roof, my estimator has no idea how much wood is needed until we tear off the roof. Same as a mechanic can not tell what is wrong with your engine till he pops the hood. We value your business and Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!
Salesman is very likable but in retrospect little of what he promised came to fruition. Company kept blaming Irma for delays but 5 other roofs completed in neighborhood by other contractors. Supervisor was over the top when discussing damage to property and cited the signed contract until it did not read in their favor, then decided to add words. Would not recommend them to anybody in the development and because of the adversarial relationship with said supervisor pray I don't need roof repairs. Wished I had properly vetted them.
Kennedy Construction Group for our roof-the installers were very meticulous and their clean-up was truly outstanding. The roof estimator was very professional and spent unlimited time explaining the procedure in minute detail about the upcoming project. All personnel involved in the project were very courteous and professional in every aspect of the job.
. I had a top-of-the-line roof put on my house by Kennedy Construction Company I paid for a lifetime warranty and since they have done the work they have forgotten a rotted board underneath the shingles they came out and repaired it and now I noticed there's a leak in our bedroom and I'm trying to call them and all of their numbers are mute. Do not hire Kennedy roof in construction they are charlatans
Dear Customer, This is an inaccurate complaint, our company phone has never been off we also have an answer service after hours for our customers convenience. You have a warranty not only through us , but Owens Corning as well. To address the accusation of bad wood being covered up, this is not something we do here at Kennedy, all of our roofs are permitted and built to Miami-dade county specifications, if we covered over bad wood the roof would have never passed the county inspections. However If there is a problem please call our office any time we will be more than happy to send a service tech out to look at any situation immediately. Thank you 941-777-7663 1-855-787-7663
This company should be avoided. You cannot trust them. I signed a contract and paid $3100 installment for a re-roof that was to cost $15,500. This contract was signed on Aug. 17, 2017. The sales agent for Kennedy said it would likely be 4-6 weeks before they did the re-roof. Starting approximately 4 weeks later, after they had posted the permit, I called numerous times inquiring about the start date. Each time, I was told by various employees that someone would call me back, that "Brian" their man in the field would call back, that Brian was in the hospital, that Gene would call me back, etc., etc. for 10 days. They did not. Finally, today October 3, 2017, I called several times and insisted on talking to Gene Kennedy, (the owner??) He told me that they could no longer do the job for the contracted amount--that they would need to charge me at least $4,000-$5,000 more because their materials cost was higher due to recent storms. He rationalized his breach of contract, saying the contract gave him the right to raise the price, but he could not point to any such language. He said he would give me back my $3100 installment and tear up the contract, but if he did the job, he would charge me $4-5 thousand more than the contracted price. He even tried to get out of it by telling me that if he were me, he wouldn't WANT Kennedy to be his roofer, implying that he would perform in a less-than-trustworthy manner. In short, he was determined to get out of the contract, using any means necessary. Another company that had bid on the job 8 weeks ago said that the higher prices brought on by the shortages of the storm would only cause his bid $575 if he contracted it today. Gene Kennedy was determined to charge $4-5 thousand more, and he said that he WOULD NOT honor the contract we had. So, Kennedy made me wait 8 weeks and then breached their contract.
Ontme..clean work, and good proce.
Company was prompt, efficient, and price was resonable.
