They gave me one quote over the phone. When they got to my house (despite already having the number of stories and sq. footage) the home was repriced at a higher price. They did check with me before doing the work. I was also told they would bag the debris and leave it in the driveway so I could see how much was removed from the gutters. This did not happen. I have little idea of what was actually done.

After another company failed to call or show for the appointment, I gave Ned Stevens a call. I was a little hesitant about calling a national company, thinking I'd never get a response. Within two hours they had called and emailed to follow-up with me. I was given a quote right on the phone, and they came out to clean my gutters just a couple of days later. Generally the work was fast and high-quality. They did bang up my tomatoes a little, but not enough to cry about. Despite having REALLY fully gutters, the grounds were spotless when they were done. The only down-side is that they show up on their schedule to clean. You don't get any advance notice of when they will be there, so you may or may not be home. If you're not home, the crew will clean anyway. I would certainly use Ned Stevens again, and would recommend them to anyone else. I'm certain that with a local crew I could have gotten a better price and more personal service, but the work was excellent and done quickly. For now, that's what's most important!

Good price, very efficient and professional. They did a great job and had great communication the whole way. I'd definitely recommend them. They don't require that you be at home when they do the work - which is great if you're busy and can't really spend half a day waiting around for a service to show up. If there was anything to say at all, it'd just be that they require full payment in advance. Having never hired them before, I would have initially been more comfortable with partial payment to schedule and the rest when completed. That said, they do guarantee their work and I had no problems at all. They cleaned up all the debris very well and left the bags at the curb.

Here is what you should know: 1. They will try to up-sell you even before they come out. 2. They do an adequate job. We will see how long it lasts. 3. They will not give you a schedule. They will come when they want to come without notifying you. They also will not tell you they are there - so if you have dogs/ cars in the garage, etc - you are out of luck. They told me they would be there within 5 business days. And that they come rain or shine. They took nearly 2 weeks. And when I called, they said, "oh, it was raining." 4. After the work, they will try to scare you into an up-sell and when you don't bite, they will eventually bill you. 5. Did I mention the up-selling? They are hard core up-sellers.
