!!!!! BUYER BEWARE !!!!! WORST ELECTRICIAN EVER !!!!!! ALMOST $1,000 IN DAMAGES !!!!!! I had a very simple job of running power from my circuit breaker to a sauna. I knew the wiring would have to cross my backyard, so besides calling 811 before they started digging, I used a wire tracker to identify the existing wiring for my irrigation system. I knew that there would be some damage that would have to be repaired, but I wanted to help them avoid the majority of it before they started digging with a trencher. Justin, one of the employees (maybe only), who works for the owner of Sevan Electric (Dan), showed up a few hours late, was clearly disgruntled for being there with his very poor attitude; regardless, I walked him through the work he's there to do. I especially showed him the painted lines that I told him not to cross with the trencher he brought to do the digging as there was electrical wiring and piping for the irrigation there, so he must dig with a shovel only when crossing those points. Justin acknowledged that, then I left him to it. I came back out in 30 minutes or so to see how things were going and Justin decided to cut diagonally across the two painted lines, causing $900 in damages that had to be repaired to bring my irrigation system back to a working state. This is when Dan (the owner) got involved. Not only did Dan insult my wife when she spoke to him on the phone, but he threatened to pack up and leave because "they're not paying for any damages!" (paraphrased). I told him that wasn't acceptable and they needed to continue the work and that I wanted him to personally see the negligent actions his worker took, as I thought he was not hearing the true story from his worker. Dan finally came out around 8 pm (nearly 10 hours of waiting and numerous calls to finally get a hold of him, as he was ducking our calls, but talking with his worker on the phone). Dan's unprofessional nature can't be overstated. He is by far the most unprofessional contractor I have ever worked with and is an overall miserable person, that was not only aggressive with me, but some of his communication was even threatening in nature. He said regardless of the repair costs that were now required, he'd only be willing to take $300 off the bill (the bill was $2,800, so he had quite a margin to work with, given the limited materials used for the work). After providing Dan with the $900 invoice for the repairs from his negligent worker's actions, along with the photos of the more than a half dozen locations where the irrigation plumbing and irrigation wiring were cut (each location had up to four pipes cut to replace), he said he would go no higher than $450 and accused me of trying to have him pay for other work as the same contractor doing the repairs was also doing landscape work. I made it clear to Dan that the amount was only for the irrigation repair parts and labor and told him that I would confirm that. When I called the ot
Sir, the only truths stated in your narrative and exhausting statement is some pipes were cut and the discount I gave in good faith to repair the same. You, sir, have NOT paid a cent. So,exactly who is unprofessional, dishonest and unethical? In short, pay us for material and labor furnished by us for your home and project! By the way, all work is complete and in place, including your irrigation system!
