Ken is a former Maytag repairman, just what I needed for my old Maytag washer/dryer combo that needed help. He knew exactly what model I had, when I spoke to him over the phone. Service was lighting fast and efficient. Would highly recommend. My 1986 purchase (yes, that is no typo) is still working thanks to Ken!

He was very unreliable, claimed he fixed my refrigerator but did not. He would return my calls as soon as I found out the refrigerator was not cool as promised on the same day after I had paid him. I had to go through Home Advisor and a friend to reach him because he would not return my calls. He gave me an appointment but did not show up. Instead of advising me to buy a new refrigerator, he claimed he could fix it and took my money. All I needed was someone who would tell the truth even if I cannot get my money back.

Time was an issue for me - he was the only one of the 3 that called that had the oven part in stock. Was able to install on short notice.

Ken fixed the belt on my dryer. Called me immediately to set up appointment, was out the next day, showed up on time, completed the work within the budget quoted over the phone. Hopefully this will be a good dryer for a few more years. Thx Ken

I am so pleased with this repair experience. I called on Monday and Ken came on Tuesday. He looked at my microwave, fixed the problem in less than 5 min and only charged me the service call amount. He was friendly and courteous and I will definitely call him again if I am in need of repair for other appliances.

I had an issue with my Maytag french-door refrigertor with bottom freezer. Ice was building up in the freezer and leaking out onto the floor every few days. Ken called me immediately, mentioned he used to work for Maytag and this was a common issue, and came by that same week. I was at work at the time, but my wife told me he basically pulled out the freezer basket and poured hot water into the back vent area. This melted all the ice build up and he assured her the drain was clear now and problem solved. He charged me $175 to pour hot water in my freezer, but I figured at least the problem is solved. A week or so later the problem started happening again. I called Ken and he said he was going on vacation in a few days for his daughter's wedding but would get back to me upon his return. He never did. I couldn't keep living with water on the floor, so I spent an hour or two watching Youtube videos and determined the problem is actually a Maytag design flaw, which causes the drain to build up and overflow which causes the ice buildup. I ordered a $20 replacement part (U-trap drain tube), and spent a few hours on a Saturday watching more how-to videos and made the repair myself. I had to remove the inside freezer panel and THOROUGHLY clear the drain pan & drain of ice with a hair dryer, not simply pour hot water. Then pulled out the fridge, opened the back panel, and installed the new drain tube. I left Ken a few voicemails letting him know that I couldn't wait for him so I ended up making the repair myself. I thought it was only fair he should refund at least a portion of the $175 since he did not fix the problem. He has yet to answer me. Ken seemed like a nice enough guy, but I feel as though I got ripped off. I would not use him again, nor recommend him to anyone.
