Reviews
Write a ReviewI hired them to replace an 80-gallon water heater with a 50-gallon heater I bought at Costco. I told the guy what I was doing. I got 3 quotes. My wife and I verified with each one that the price included taking away the old water heater. They said the price included it. So they come to the house and install the water heater. Then after they are done installing the new water heater, they say since the old water heater is 80 gallons and the new one is 50 gallons, they want an extra 250 dollars to remove it. We were told the price included the removal and they never mentioned a problem until after they were done installing the new water heater. So we did not agree to pay them extra and they left without removing the old water heater as stipulated in the contract.
I do not usually write reviews and usually either recommend to friends and neighbors the tech that did the job. But I have a different experience that I could not ignore. I hired this company to replace a sump pump in my townhome. After agreeing on the price they came out and removed the old sump pump and then started negotiating a different amount. Even after agreeing to clean the pit and install it, the tech gives a reason that there is a lot of debris (which there was not). The tech suggested I bring certain size of male adapter, but after starting the work tech says that is not the correct size (even after I showed him the text the Tech sent with recommended size). He charged $100 extra for the part he supplied (it cost me $3 at Lowes) and took the part I gave him. Overall it cost me a third more than the agreed price. I paid the amount as I did not have a choice and called the company afterward. The owner agreed to refund the partial amount and promised to send me a check in a week. It has been 3 weeks and when I call, they keep dodging and keep transferring between different people. Overall it is not a great experience dealing with them. It appears they quote a low price and hold the customer hostage until they pay a higher amount during and after the job. At this point, I do not even know the quality of the job with these practices.
Quick and easy to do business with!
Fantastic job on replacing our water heater!
Permit failed on March 26th it is now April 9, 2021, and the issue still has not been resolved after repeated phone calls. They were paid to handle the permits. They were contacted about the failure and as of this writing, I still have not received a response. They were copied on the same email, I received from Fairfax County. I am truly disappointed at how they are handling this situation. It is totally unprofessional. They take your money and run and no follow-up. Why do I have to keep contacting them, This should be like clockwork. All they have to do is file additional paperwork,, They have failed me and the system. UPDATE: On April 12, 2021, we finally received a phone call that the permits were approved. The issue is resolved.
Lisa, We are sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service. We are sorry about the miscommunication but the failed permit was fixed as soon as it failed inspection. The county was just missing their chimney certification so we got it right over to them. We will forward you your passed inspection form. Thanks!!
The Technician (TJ) was very experienced, friendly and willing to help me with all my questions. He took the time for me to understand the product and installation. I would definitely rate RightNow Plumbing as one of the best I ever worked with. RightNow Plumbing is on my speed dial for future work.
Excellent customer service and work. Very reasonably priced. When we thought we had a problem with an installation they came right back out to inspect and repair it. Overall extremely satisfied. Definitely recommend.
They had to replace the sump pump for the basement bathroom. The service and work were great, and the system works better than the original. I appreciate that they are very conscious about social distancing.
Andy installed the new sump pump and helped me understand a couple of other plumbing things in my basement. I endorse RightNOW Plumbing and recommend them for your plumbing needs.
The RightNOW team is awesome! They responded to my request within the first hour and was able to get the water heater replaced the next day. Upon completion , they provided detail of the work. Thanks much for the great service!
